The following morning, I quickly bathed and fixed my room. After that, I went to Grandpa's room. It was only six in the morning, and I'm sure Irene was still sleeping.

I slowly turn the knob making sure not to make any sound to wake her up, but I quickly cover my lips with my palm when I see Jayson inside, sleeping beside Grandpa. I looked for Irene, but she wasn't there. Where did she sleep last night?

I slowly walked inside and stood at the side of the bed. It pains me inside to see the tears on the side of Jayson's face. I'm sure he cried to sleep.

I touch his forehead to check if his fever doesn't return, and I'm relieved that his temperature is normal.

I looked and Grandpa and brushed my fingers on his hair, and then planted a kiss on his forehead.
