" Bar?" I uttered questionably as I didn't understand what point she was heading to.

" Yeah Aria. it isn't as bad as you see it" Liana says squinting her eyes in conviction.

" How can I go to the bar and drink when my mom is seriously ill huh".

" Think about the money needed".

" I should sell my body?". I ask not grasping a thing she says

" No far from it. Before you think of selling your body you've gotten what is needed" she defended. Liana is so outgoing and some of her suggestions could give one a heart attack.

" Spill it" I said rolling my eyes, I was feeling so desperate at the moment.

" Okay" she clasp her hands in excitement like she has been waiting for me to give her permission. I was also persimistic as she could give a crazy idea.

" There's this bar in the city and the elites are always present. With your beauty a rich guy could take interest in you and this are not guys of mere words Aria. They're super rich".

" Then what will I do in return?" I say.

" Just a little peck here and—"

" I'm not interested" I blurted out arranging my box of cash as I placed it back into the safe closet cause it layed carelessly when I brought it down. The amount in it was a source of hope at least.

" Stop that Aria. it's not like you're a child, for God's sake you're 22. You could do stuff of an adult trust me you don't need to do too much. You could say no".

I stare at her in amusement. At this point Liana knew that she had to defend her word.

" Okay fine. Care to know why I broke up with that jerk?" her facial expression looking serious.

" No, why?" I ask picking up a piece of unwanted displayed paper on the shelf into the waste bin.

" Because he wanted something more and I wasn't ready and...he...".

I could hear her break down and my heart melted immediately. "And what" I ask immediately.

" He cheated".

" Damn!!! That bastard. How could he?". I was getting angry at this point.

" That's the good part of it. I didn't do anything though it's painful but I have my body intact".

"Argh!!! Not again Liana" I say as I hit my forehead. " You almost got me" I added chuckling in between.

" But that's the truth".

" What if I don't meet someone as calm as you are?".

" You would have gotten what we wanted by that time and disappear".

I struggled to come up with an answer. One was my mother that I love so much and the other was the solution to save her but how true.

" Okay I will" I finally say.

" That's more like it. Now let's prep you up" she says excitedly.

" I don't have a suitable dress" I stated.

" That shouldn't be an issue. I had planned in mind that we'll go out but not in this situation so I brought extra wears"

" Will it be successful?".

" Be positive Aria". she advised.

Liana took her time to prep me up. it was almost dark and by the time we'll be done everywhere would be pitch black.

" Voila!!!" Liana screamed in excitement as she stare at the mirror and then back at me.

" Pout .....pout.... Aria you're so beautiful. Eiiish". she exclaimed in the ever excited manner. That was the most beautiful thing about her—her heart.

I knew how dramatic she was so I don't take her act seriously, she hypes me up at every chance she gets but when I looked at the mirror I was dumbfounded.

" Wait... What?" I stammer. " is this...me?".

" Yes Aria. Aren't you pretty?".

My eyes brimmed almost in tears as I stare at myself once more. Liana curled my straight hair into a wavy form letting it flow past my shoulders. My amber eyes matching the color of my outfit. An honey like straight gown. I loved the simplicity about the makeup and all.

"So what's next?" I say as I put on an elegant poise, more intimidating than ever.

" To get there and bag that rich diva of course" she echoed and we both burst into laughter.

Liana dressed up and in the mean time I called my mum and told her to take care of herself since I had done the necessary feedings. When I was rest assured that she was fine I hung up the call and off we went.

We got to the bar in no time and everyone got inside while some stood, I knew at once that it was a strict invite. Was someone important here?. I didn't know what Liana told the bodyguards but we went in regardless.

" Stay here" she said a little bit loud as there was a soothing music playing at the background—One the elites love to listen to as I have read in novels. I nodded in approval as I sat down at an empty spot meant for the both of us.

The bar wasn't as noisy as I had pictured it. This was different from the ones Liana takes me to. It was more structural and standard—The life of an elite I wonder.

I felt gazes on me. Different men gawking at me—The part I hate more but I had no choice than to endure it to at least to attract a reasonable one.

I got lost in my thought. I wonder where Liana had wandered off too again. I sighed repeatedly.

" Aria". I heard liana's voice call out, her steps drawing closer.

" Yes Li".

She sat beside me as she whispered something to my ears making me widen my eyes in shock.

" You mean I should make myself noticable to a man here?".

" Not just any man Aria but the CEO of Lan enterprises" she whispered as her head signaled to the person she was referring to. I raised my head slowly and there he was.

" Gosh!!" I exclaimed silently.

  • FORGIVE ME, PLEASE.    MARRY ME!!!

~Nikolaus~My gaze landed on an amber looking eyes. I could feel her shock maybe, or curiousity. She seems so innocent for this bar and the things to come. " N....no Sir. it wasn't intentional" his shaky voice filled my ear . I winced, controlling myself. I want to act but her image of shock flooded in. She might have heard— ruthlessness maybe. " I will take care of it" he reassured as he calmed his nerves down, taking off. I relax breathing whatever toxicity that filled the air. " Would you like a lady for the night?" The bar manager asks, one of the few audacity I had as a friend. " No" I said waving it off. " You can't keep holding on to the past Nik" he says persuading me. " Hmm.... The past?". " Yes.... you can—" " Wish for death?" I said gritting my teeth, my breath unsteady yet calm. I looked

  • FORGIVE ME, PLEASE.    WE'LL FIND A WAY

I checked the caller ID and was so surprised to see that my best friend number was active. I have been trying trying her line for a while but to no avail. I didn't pick up as she could be so unnecessarily lousy atimes and I wasn't ready for drama. I looked at my mother guiltily. She stared back at me without saying anything as she dug into her food. " Mom" I called out. " I'll be back. I want to get something very important" My eyes never leaving hers. " Work calls?". she ask " Yes " I lied again. I can't count how many times I had lied to her face. " It's fine then". I pecked her by the cheeks and rushed out immediately, my mind drifting on how to raise the funds for her treatment. Outside the hospital. It suddenly became windy with dust spuring in the air. I glanced at my phone as I checked the weather forecast. It was about to rain and getting to the country side where I live would take about an hour plus the traffic. " Damn it!!" I exclaimed as I

  • FORGIVE ME, PLEASE.    THE BILL, ARIA

~Aria Monroe's Pov~ I stare at the almost lifeless soul on the bed. My heart shattered into pieces, I couldn't believe that the most jovial and important piece of me is laying there extremely sick and in need of immediate treatment—My mother. I gently close the door behind me as I followed the doctor to his office. He had a serious expression on his face which dictates that the sickness was more serious than I might had imagined. I sighed as I encouraged myself silently. " Sit down Miss" the man said to me as soon as we entered his office,he gestured to where I could sit. I didn't hesitate as my mind has drifted apart and the chair was the only support I could get at the moment to calm my self. " So what is the problem doctor? She was doing okay before I left for work this morning. I....I mean I'm surprised" the tears in my eyes couldn't hold itself any longer as I let it flow down my cheeks. The doctor looked at me, I could see the pity in his eyes, it spoke more words th
