At midday, Alpha Karl beheld a sight that made his blood boil. Wolfe rode into the archery grounds with Sinclair at his side. But Lois was not with them. No broken captive. No trophy to present. Nothing but failure.

Karl’s fury erupted before words could form. He lunged forward, seized Wolfe by the reins, and yanked him from the saddle as though he were a sack of straw.

“Where is she?” Karl growled, his voice rough as gravel, his fist twisted in the front of Wolfe’s doublet.

Wolfe’s eyes darted wildly, veins bulging at his temples. He wasn’t the one who lost her—that cursed burden belonged to Sinclair—but Karl was unpredictable, and a wrong word could mean death.

Wolfe wheezed, teeth clenched. “Tell him, you knucklehead, before I suffocate!” He snapped at Sinclair, dragging air into his lungs.

Sinclair froze. Sweat pooled at his brow, his heart hammering like a drum about to split. Words clogged in his throat. He swallowed, tried again, and finally stammered: “I…I lost her, my king.”

He whispered the confession low, hoping it might vanish into the air, but Karl’s sharp ears caught every syllable. Fury blazed in the Alpha’s eyes, volcanic, uncontainable.

Karl released Wolfe with a violent shove that hurled him across the ground into the archery board. Wood splintered on impact.

“You what?” Karl’s roar cracked across the field like thunder.

“…lost…her,” Sinclair muttered again, his eyes screwed shut, already seeing himself laid out for the reaper.

Karl’s chest heaved with restrained violence. “You were ordered to bring me a weak woman. A sick one, at that. And you lost her? You—my second in command?” His voice was low and sharp as a blade.

Sinclair’s tongue stumbled over words, incoherent and panicked. “The others fled—I suspected she’d go to the pawn market—took the alleys—saw her with a man—she fought him, threw him down—she…rode with speed I couldn’t match, as if she knew the map of the town by heart. Then she fell. I found blood on the stones. But I searched—through the night, until dawn—and she was gone.”

Karl scoffed, his lip curling in contempt. “A slip of a wench outrides one of my finest men?”

Sinclair bowed his head low, shame pulling at his spine. “I cannot explain it, my king. Only that it happened.”

Karl’s jaw clicked tight. The sound was louder than bones breaking. Sinclair braced, thinking it might be his neck next.

“You know the punishment for incompetence,” Karl said flatly.

“Yes, my king,” Sinclair whispered. “Execution.”

Karl’s glare bore into him. “Knowing this… why did you return?”

For the first time, Sinclair lifted his eyes to meet the Alpha’s. His voice trembled but held a thread of conviction. “Because my duty remains. I came to request aid—detectives to comb Luna town. With their skill, we will find her. I failed once. I will not fail again.”

For a long, tense moment, Karl said nothing. Then, slowly, his gaze softened—not in mercy, but in cold calculation. The boy was far too promising to discard.

“Do as you wish,” Karl commanded at last, his tone sharp as an arrow. “But hear me well—bring her back to me, or next time, not even your spirit will find peace.”

With a fluid motion, Karl snatched a bow, nocked an arrow, and fired. The shaft thudded into the bull’s-eye, dead center. He dropped the bow and strode away, his entourage trailing in his wake, leaving silence thick in the air.

Sunlight poured through tall windows, its rays spilling across Lois’s face. She stirred, lashes fluttering, groaning at the brightness. Her head throbbed; her body ached. She shielded her eyes with a trembling arm.

“Are you awake?” a gentle voice asked.

Lois turned her head. A woman stood nearby, beautiful, her smile warm as she brushed a lock of hair from her face.

Lois bolted upright, panic clawing her chest. “Where am I?” Her voice cracked, frantic, as she struggled to piece together the fragments of memory—falling from the horse, blood, darkness…

Now she lay in a chamber vast and opulent, every corner speaking of wealth and nobility. The bed beneath her was soft, silks heavy and warm. Her throat tightened. Had she been returned to the palace?

The woman raised her hands gently. “Calm yourself. You are safe here.”

Before Lois could respond, a guttural voice cut across the room. “Safe? Only if she does as I say.”

From the shadows, a man emerged. His presence sucked the air from the chamber. Though draped in silks and jewels, his face was grotesque—old, twisted, misshapen. Even diamonds could not disguise the ugliness of his sneer.

The lady flinched at his arrival. He shoved her aside with a bark: “Leave us!” She bowed hastily and slipped out, the door closing behind her.

Lois’s heart thundered. She shrank back against the pillows as the man approached.

“What do you want?” she demanded, her voice trembling but defiant.

The man’s crooked grin deepened, revealing yellowed teeth. “What I want,” he said softly, “is a bargain.”

It was apparent to Jacinta that Wolfe was being resentful simply because she had not written back or visited him after receiving all the letters he sent her. Jacinta sighed, trying to formulate a response. There really was no excuse she could give. She was a governess for the royal sextuplets and should not be seen fraternizing with the King's man when they were not recognized as mates. Coupled with several other reasons known only to her, she just wanted to love him from afar.“Why did you snub my letters?” he demanded.“I didn’t receive your letters. I haven’t checked my mail locker; probably they were delivered. And why would a High Beta of Great Hale be sending letters to a lowly physician? Do I deserve your highly worthy letters?” Jacinta countered.Wolfe was momentarily speechless. He felt bad for his outburst and for shaming her despite his resentment.“I’ll inform the King. Follow me,” he said with a smirk accompanied by a side scowl. Jacinta felt unsteady and desperate for th

Sandra looked into Lois’s eyes with a mischievous and naughty smile; seeing the pain on her face and the blood stripes on her skin delighted her.“I need to talk with the King!” Lois demanded. For some odd reason, she felt safe in his presence. Even though she knew he loathed her so much, she still felt this strange feeling of safety and comfort around him. It surprised her; she wondered why.“Why do you need him here? What do you want him to do? Strip and whip me for you?” Sandra asked with an annoying, cacophonous laughter.“I bet you can’t dare let the King see me like this! What hurts you so much? Why does my presence bother you deeply?!” Lois asked, her tone shrill.“Why so? He loathes you with passion. Don’t you think I’m doing him a favor right now? Your pain delights him, your cries, your damnation. So shut your crap!” Sandra scoffed.Lois knew he loathed her with passion, and perhaps Sandra really was doing him a favor. But she also knew Alpha Karl would not stand by and allo

Lois looked up to see the intimidating presence of Sandra and her entourage. Her head was high and her shoulders were broad. Sandra confidently seated herself without invitation. The sextuplets paid them no regard, surprised to see a strange woman with her entourage enter and disrupt their play session.“What do you want here?” Lois demanded.“Mind your manners!” a lady in the entourage scowled with a growl. Lois simply stared her down, taking in her short stature.“What do you want here, Sandra?” Lois asked again. Her eyes were smoldering with anger; she felt the environment was no longer pleasant for the sextuplets.“Take the sextuplets away, I will see to her,” Lois told Jacinta.“What have you been telling the royal sextuplets? You must resent me so much that you think my presence is a harm to them?” Sandra asked, smirking. Even if she couldn't get rid of Lois with her previous plan, a little provocation would do.“I’m here for the King’s sextuplets. I will be accommodating them e

Lois's mounting orgasm grabbed hold, her thighs gripped him, and her muscles clenched for release. She ejaculated the purest water everywhere. Alpha Karl smirked. Her sigh of satisfaction was exactly what he wanted to see. “Now, apply this to my tortures. Pleasure me when I ask you to,” he said.He sat back on his gazebo chair and drank the strong liquor while her nudity was on full display. Lois felt embarrassed. While he was actively touching and dominating her, she understood his involvement—her pain was his pleasure. But seeing this hot man now simply seated, drinking while boring holes into her soul with his grizzled gaze—she quickly stood up and wore her gown.Clutching her underthings to her chest, she ran into the cold, heavy rain and headed toward the North Palace. The session had taken three hours of pleasure and minimal torture. She knew she couldn't consider that session a truly torturous one; in fact, it likely wouldn't count in Alpha Karl's book. It was literally just me

Alpha Karl grazed his fingers down her thighs, then brought one of her legs over his shoulder and buried his mouth against the tender flesh of her wet vagina.Lois twitched, arching her back on the table as a soft moan escaped her lips. She could not hold back, and unintentionally grasped his long blond hair, yanking hard as he continued to eat her wet pussy. Her thigh was warm, heating his face. It smelled good. Her hands yanked even harder into his hair as he kissed and gently bit her clitoris. Her abrupt gasps and the broken cries in her voice made his cock stone-hard; it ached, yearning to break a wall, to thrust into her tight, warm, wet pussy. He hardened his tongue, long, and thrust it gently inside her warm vaginal opening, clinging upwards and making her legs shiver, triggering a slick, watery lubrication. She became so wet and hot that he could literally feel every constriction of her muscles as she clutched his skin. Her heart was thudding; he could hear it even from down t

Alpha Karl glared at Lois, and the tension built within her. Her heart was thudding; his gaze was grizzled and intense. The stride in his gait, his commanding presence, his sheer masculinity—it was all just enough to tame her.Lois snapped out of her stupid drooling. She shouldn't be doing this. But he was so captivating that she almost could not resist. After everything he had done to her—even the hatred he bore her—that hatred alone should have stopped her from this delusional drooling.“We’re here to escort the sextuplets back to the North Palace, Your Majesty. It’s almost curfew,” Lois said.Alpha Karl saw the resentment that followed her statement, an unspoken scream of Do not touch my children. You do not have the right to. It was the same resentment she had screamed at his ears previously.Alpha Karl studied her gait—so princessly. Her features were all so alluring. He could not deny that her unreal gorgeousness was visible in the sextuplets, especially Conan, who dominantly lo
