ALEX'S POV
You are allowed to make mistakes in your life except for the one that destroys your life.
The consequences of some mistakes are so grave that even you can’t repent for them even if you keep trying your whole life.
So, does that mean we should give up hope and stop trying altogether? No, if we do that, we will be lost in a tunnel of darkness. We should keep trying to rectify the damage as far as possible.
ALEX'S POV“Father,” I whispered, turning around. “Yes, you do remember you have a father, right. You have been missing for two days. I send my messengers to look for you everywhere, but they couldn’t find you. In the end, I had to come looking for you myself.”“Father….I….”Alex started saying something, but his father interrupted him midway.
ALEX'S POVI stood outside Dixonville, the place from where our friends had thrown us out. I expected it to be empty since things had gone back to normal. The door was locked from the inside. So, I knocked at the door. Susie opened the door. I almost expected her to slam it shut on my face, but she ushered us in. “What happened to Eva?”“We were in
ALEX'S POV“ I can never do such a despicable act! It is all in the Prince’s imagination.” Albert’s pleading voice broke the silence. Victoria came running at that very moment and said, “It wouldn’t be fair to punish Albert without verifying the facts.” “Hmm…you are right. I know this is hard, son. But, as a king, I have to hear both sides of the argument before passing a judgment.”
I was more worried about Eva than myself. What if someone tried to harm her while I was away?I punched my palm in frustration. I should have reigned in my anger. I could have taken revenge even after Eva got well. Damn! Why did the rooms in the palace have no windows? I punched the wall, but it hardly left a mark. I tried to use my power to destroy the wall as I had destroyed the apartment, but I could not use my power either. F***! What had they done to me? I looked around frantically for anything that could h
ALEX'S POVWhen Susie had finally calmed down enough to listen to me, I narrated everything to her. At first, I was a bit reluctant to tell her the truth but I needed someone to help me with everything. I couldn’t do everything alone. Moreover, it would be impossible to protect Susie without telling her the truth. “You mean to say that you are a Golden Shifter. I have lived with you for a long time, Alex. If you were any different I would have noticed right. Don’t try to fool me just because I can’t understand certain things.” She said squinting at me. “I didn’t know
ALEX’S POV“Susie, I think I have found a way to revive, Eva,” I said to Susie, wiping Eva’s body with a damp cloth. “I thought you had tried everything…”“No, not everything… There is one thing we can do…”“Then just do it, Alex. I don’t care what you do if Eva becomes normal again.”
ALEX’S POVEva’s words kept reeling in my mind. She had agreed to give her soul to that B****** because she couldn’t find a way to get the Alexart. If I could get those Alexarts, she might wake up from her trance. I had to find the location of the other two Alexarts. For the next week, I read extensively. I even brought all the books from Eva’s apartment to Dixonville but there was no use. I couldn’t find the mention of Alexarts anywhere.
ALEX’S POVI took the amethyst ring and kept it on the table. Then, I projected a tiny beam of energy towards the ring. The metal casing melted and the amethyst crystal shattered to bits. It was funny how I could use my power to break the amethyst crystal when it could incapacitate my power on entering me. “Damn! Alex. Why did you break such a beautiful ring?” Susie said exclaiming in horror.
