THE FOOL-PROOF PLAN
EVA'S POV
Strangely, by the time Liam went a few feet away, the Alexart had stopped glowing. So, I called him back.
My heart was thudding like a racing horse by now. I had no desire to stay here for even a moment longer. When I saw two out of the three cops leaving a plan formed in my mind.
It was a foolproof plan and it had to work. I was just worried that Alex would get mad at me.
“Alex, I don’t want to stay here any longer,” I said grasping his arm.

ALEX'S POVWhen I saw Eva in pain I felt a sudden burst of energy. I felt like I could push the door apart. I know it is insane but that is how I felt. I decided to give it a try. It was true that I would lose face but I would have tried to do something. Liam let out a muffled laugh when he saw me trying to push the door apart. One moment I was applying force on the doors and the next moment the door was wide open. I was rendered dumbstruck by this. I hadn’t even tried hard.

To be honest I was dying with curiosity and impatience but following them unasked didn’t seem like a polite thing to do. I sat at the edge of the sofa tapping my foot and looking at my watch every two seconds. What was taking them so long?My mind veered to the day I saw that dream. It was as if someone was urging me to wake up. Maybe urging was not the right word, that voice had practically commanded me. I found myself unable to ignore the command.

LIAM'S POVI dragged myself up the stairs. My legs felt like they would give away any moment but I didn’t dare to stop. I had to kill Eva and Alex before that hooded creature got angry and summoned me again. How would I kill them? Eva didn’t even keep a gun so it wasn’t possible to steal one. I could stab them with a kitchen knife or suffocate them or maybe bang their head against the wall. I would need to separate them. It wouldn’t be practical to fight both of them at the same time.

EVA'S POVWalking hand in hand with Alex under the star-studded sky would have been the most romantic thing to do.
