CASPIAN

Nolan gave me a grim look as he finished his examination on both of them. “Alpha, Ray is fine. He is just tired and will wake up by morning. We will move him to another room now.”

Relief washed over me but it was short-lived as he turned his attention to her.

“But her... it’s more complicated. We found wolfsbane and tranquilizing drugs in her body. Her body is reacting abnormally, almost as if the wolfsbane is trying to fight something else inside her. We weren’t able to remove it.” He pulled off his gloves with a sigh.

Wolfsbane. Even the smallest dose could be harmful to our bodies. “Will she be okay?” I asked him, the thought of something happening to her made my stomach clench painfully.

Nolan sighed heavily, saying, “It seems so, Alpha. We have removed the other toxins from her body and even with the wolfsbane in her body, her vitals are coming back to normal.”

“But we still need to keep her under observation for a day or two. I also need more time to run tests and figure out why wolfsbane is reacting this way.” He continued to say.

I nodded. Then he left closing the door behind him after they shifted Ray to another room. I stood there for a moment, looking at her. I knew she wasn’t Jane, but it still messed with my head, stirring emotions and fear of something happening to her.

Ryker growled lowly within me, urging me to be close to her and touch her.

“She needs to rest, Ryker.” I replied but still took a step closer, gazing down at her delicate face. Her silver blonde hair shimmered lightly and her skin looked smooth and soft.

I had the urge to reach out and touch her but held myself back, unsure of what this strange pull toward her really meant. Just then Caleb mind-linked me, breaking my thoughts.

"I have caught the other kidnapper, there were only two of them. So, we are safe now." he informed me.

My jaw clenched in anger. Ryker growled dangerously in my head, doubling my rage, hungry for his blood as they tried to hurt her and Ray.

“We have to dig deeper, Caleb. I have a feeling this wasn’t a normal kidnapping. Tighten the security around the town too. I don’t want anything like this happening again on my territory.” I ordered Caleb while forcing myself to stay calm.

“Got it, alpha.” He replied immediately.

“Where are you now?” I asked.

“We’re taking him to the dungeons. He’s not saying much yet... but he soon will.” Caleb replied in a cold and dangerous voice.

I knew Caleb could deal with that guy just fine, but this time, I wanted to interrogate him myself. “Don’t. I will do it myself later. He has to know the consequences of offending me.” I told him with a sadistic smirk on my face.

“Understood, Alpha.” Caleb replied, cutting off the mindlink.

I looked at the unconscious goddess in front of me, thinking this attack had brought her into my life and under my protection. She even saved Ray.

I sat down in the chair by her bed and vowed to myself. Whoever was behind this attack would pay dearly. And as for her... I didn’t know what fate had in store for us, but I would do whatever it took to make sure she woke up safely, even if it meant risking everything.

Everything else could wait for now. Her survival and safety came first.

ALIZA

It was dark.

Too much darkness.

Everything around was black. Not even a beam of light was there. I didn't even know where I was or for how long I have been there. I was struggling to get out of there but to no use.

Suddenly, when I was about to give up, there was a beam of light shining ahead. After struggling for so long.. I suddenly opened my eyes. The bright light of room was making me close my eyes instantly. Then slowly & slowly I opened my eyes again.

Everything was in white there. I was staring blankly at the white ceiling, thinking where I was? Was I even alive? Or had I died and somehow ended up in heaven?

But wait—if this is heaven, does that mean I won’t get to meet my knight in shining armor? I feel so disappointed and want to cry… huhu.

It was then that I noticed someone sleeping on the chair beside me. The sight of a handsome man pulled me back to reality and I stopped crying. Then his scent hit me, Lavender with dark musk.

My eyes lit up at the memory..  remembering his scent and the feel of his strong arms wrapped around me. My knight in shining armor…he is here.

My cheeks grew warm and a happy smile spread across my face. I shifted slightly wanting to touch him, only to wince as a dull ache spread through my body. My limbs felt heavy. I tried sitting up but it was another struggle.

I didn’t notice my struggling woke him up, his eyes opened and he looked at me. Our eyes met, I found myself looking into his dark, deep eyes as everything around us blurred. For a moment, neither of us said anything.

"You are my handsome knight…" I muttered in a dry voice, still enchanted by his eyes.

His mouth twitched into the smallest of smiles and I realized what I had just said. My cheeks flushed and I cleared my throat awkwardly.

"Ah.. I mean are you the one who saved me?" I stammered asking again.

“Yes I am the one who saved you.” He said in his deep and sexy voice, his eyes dancing with mischief as he opened his mouth again, “Or as you put it, your handsome knight in shining armor.”

I blushed at his remark and looked down in embarrassment. I really needed to learn to control my mouth sometimes. He chuckled and then got up from his seat, going over to the side table as he poured a glass of water for me.

“Here..” he said, forwarding the glass to me. Our hands touched as I reached for it, causing electrifying spark at the contact.

I took the glass, breaking the moment as I drank the water. After I was done, he took the empty glass from my hand, sending another shiver down my spine.

"Thank you," I said trying to calm my pounding heart by looking down, not only for the water but for everything.

He nodded as his soft expression vanished and his face turned void of any emotions. “How are feeling now? Can you tell me about your family, so I can inform them, they must be worried.”

“I am fine except the pain and heaviness in my limbs. My family..” I started to say but froze suddenly when I realized I don’t remember a thing about myself.

CASPIAN'I love you Caspian.'Her words echoed in my mind again and again, sweeter than any melody, filling me with happiness. They weren’t just empty words. I could see the truth in her eyes... the way they shined with love or the sincerity in her eyes said it all.But I needed more. I needed to feel it.I needed proof that her confession was real, not just my imagination. My hands gripped her waist tightly, pulling her against me. The heat between us surged, almost becoming unbearable, making it hard to breathe.I leaned down and kissed her on the lips. My kisses becoming hot and fiery, urging her to respond back.Mmm.... Her lips were soft.. too soft. Too sweet like honey. I kissed her harder, letting the emotions in me pour into the kiss. Letting her feel what she is doing to me, how unhinged she made me. Every nerve in my body came alive when Aliza started kissing me back. Then she moaned. A seductive, needy sound that snapped something inside me. I bit her on the lower li

It was elegance laced with temptation.Mia really was a magician when it came to styling. Then came the knock on the door, just at the right moment.I took one last glance in the mirror, smoothing down my outfit, my heart beating in anticipation.Mia raised a brow, excitement flashing in her eyes as if watching something interesting, she “Showtime,” she said with a smirk, already going to open the door. The door opened... and there stood Caspian.Dressed in a sleek grey blazer and trousers, paired with a black fitted T-shirt that hugged his torso just right. ALIZAWe were all gathered in Caspian’s office, the room was with tension. Caspian sat at his chair, his expression serious as he looked between the rest of us.“There’s still no progress,” he said, with a frown on his face. “Even after so many days… no leads on Ray’s uncle or the ones behind him.”“That means those bastards are being careful now. They have laid low since their plan failed,” Caleb muttered, leaning back in his chair, fingers tapping the table in thought.Mia’s jaw clenched, her eyes dark with anger. “It’s grating on my nerves. I want those fuckers to pay. And soon.”Caleb reached out, placing a hand on her back, rubbing circles to calm her down.“Relax, babe. We’ll get them.. just wait a little more.” he said softly, pressing a kiss to her lips.Mia responded back to the kiss, her fingers clutching his shirt in a tight grip.. but just as things were about to heat up, they both remembered where they were and pulled apart sheepishly.“Guys, please…” Caspian said, shakin

She has adjusted to the life within the pack but… there is still no progress with the return of her memories.”Elder Fiora nodded at him.“What is it?” she said after observing that he had more to report but seemed hesitant.“Elder Pricess she… she seems close to Alpha Caspian.” He said lowering his head as he shifted on his feet, clearly uneasy.Although Elder Fiora’s face stayed calm and unreadable.. but her sharp and calculating eyes darkened sli
