Jun's POV

The next morning

I ran.

I didn't know why I did that, but this morning when I woke up and saw them still sleeping, I quietly got off the bed, picked up my clothes, dressed hastily and my foot barely touched the floor as I tiptoed out of the room.

And now, the taxi just dropped me in front of the pack house. I quickly used my fingers to brush my dishevelled hair and started walking towards the gate.

As soon as I got in, I noticed the festivities in the air. Yeah… Christmas themed decorations but then, this wasn't just about Christmas. The maids were running around, trying to put whatever in place and then I saw her.

Seraphina Graves. She had already activated her Luna mood; she was barking out orders and showing the hefty men who were carrying flowers and Christmas trees the perfect place to set them.

Only if she knew how her beloved mate had forced me into a sex contract, I bet she'd tread more carefully.

Whatever was happening was none of my business, so I turned away, hoping to get to the mansion and get ready for work—though that was even burdensome since Elias was my boss.

“Juniper,” Seraphina called behind me, her voice disgustingly sweet.

I rolled my eyes before turning back at her, arms folded across my shoulders.

She eyed me down, flaunting her diamond ring and my heart clenched tightly when I realised that it was the same set I had pointed out for Elias at the mall last month and I told him how I'd be the happiest woman alive if he proposed to me with it.

Her minions—Mia and Elara—were flanking behind her.

Oh, I didn't mention that Mia, my sister, was her best friend?

Apparently they became closer the night Elias proposed to Seraphina. She congratulated her while I was crying. That bitch betrayed her own sister for a stranger.

I threw my hair back. “Yes.”

Her eyes were blazing with anger. “No greetings or any form of respect to your future Luna, huh?” She spat. “Is that how you are trained? When I become Luna, I will make sure you die the same night.”

“Yen, yen, yen,” I sneered, my voice dripping with mockery. “How about you become Luna first, Seraphina, before acting up? Who knows, you might only see the throne but not sit on it.”

She clenched her fists. “You bitch—” she paused, glanced around and forced a smile at the pack members who were staring at us.

A venomous snake and pretender. Always acting like she was kind and classy.

“You know what… I won't allow you drag me to the mud with you. Just go to the kitchen and join the cooks there… they need more helping hands.”

“What?” I snapped.

“You heard me right?”

“But I'm not a maid and besides, I'm going to WORK! Some of us have real work that helps us pay our bills and not just depends on our family fortune.”

“Well, darling… I already spoke to your boss and he doesn't mind you missing work today. And besides, Elias is skipping work today too to welcome our guests.”

Elias is skipping work?!

That was unusual and that means whosoever was coming was very, very important.

“I don't care. I'm not to serve in the kitchen.”

“Don't test my patience, juniper,” she threatened. “It's either you go to the kitchen or I have the guards throw you in the dungeon,” she threatened. “I bet, no one would raise an eyebrow to that because you practically disobeyed me.”

Oh… fuck. This bitch.

“Fine,” I agreed because the kitchen was better than the dungeon. “I will go. Let me just quickly change away from this—”

“No! Go right away.”

“She would be helpful,” Mia said coolly. “My sister is actually a hard worker—better than most of the maids.”

She was right. I was the illegitimate daughter no one wanted—the one that does all the chores even though there were maids, just to earn her keep.

I hissed in frustration and walked past them towards the royal kitchen.

………………

“Prince Elias said everyone should come out to welcome his guests,” Adams—the royal messenger announced—his voice echoed through the kitchen.

The rest of the maid heaved in relief, muttering thanksgiving to the Goddess for the short break, but as for me, I was pissed off. I just wanted to finish up and go get some rest because my body is still aching from all the sex escapades from last night.

Those men though.

They fucked me so well that I had slept off immediately my body touched the bed—my first real sleep since Seraphina came to this pack.

I stared up from the lamb sauce I was marinating, removed the nylon gloves, apron and joined the rest of the maids trooping outside.

At the courtyard, we stood under the morning sun that shone brightly, biting hard against my exposed cleavage with beads of sweat rolling down my forehead.

On the platform, Elias stood, dressed in a blue tuxedo that made him so handsome, a smug expression on his face and his arms wrapped possessively around Seraphina's waist. Our eyes met, he smirked, hand drifted lower and he squeezed her ass.

Bastard!

Seraphina hit his shoulders playfully, her eyes followed his which landed on me and she kissed him deeply.

I clenched my fists and forced myself to look away.

Just then, the huge gate creaked open. Two power bikes flew in, and screeched to a stop. Two broad shouldered men with helmets over their faces alighted and stood tall.

Their intimidating auras, their scents, the leather jackets they had on, the boots, gloves and the bikes—everything was familiar.

But then… where could I have known Elias guests?

And that is such a grand entrance for the guests he has been making a fuss about since this morning.

Elias and Seraphina walked up to them with a radiant smile on their faces and stood just inches away from them.

“Everyone pay homage to the Grand Princes of the Crimson Pack,” Elias announced, his voice echoing through the courtyard. “The Graves Princes—my mate's older brothers.”

Oh… they were Seraphina's brothers? The infamous Graves twin. The handsome playboy bikers. Of course, I have heard about their ruthlessness. How they never forgive nor forget their enemies. You offend them—they come for you. They offend you—they still come for you.

That explained everything.

Everyone, including Elias, bowed deeply. Of course, he had to. Just a word from them and he would win the election—because they don't just talk, they make decree.

“Welcome to the BlueMoon Pack, Grand Princes,” we all chorused.

When we raised our heads and they removed their helmet, my breath seized completely.

It was them.

Yes, them.

gods among monsters.

Same perfect jaws. Same pairs of stormy gray eyes.

Soren and Ronan.

My ex in-laws are the men who ruined me completely last night.

Their eyes found me in the crowd and their lips curled into a satisfied smirk.

Seraphina shrieked happily, her arms opened in an embrace. “Welcome to the BlueMoon Pack, brothers. I'm so—”

They threw their helmets to the sides and started walking forward, in slow, deliberate and rhythmic steps. They didn't stop in front of Elias and Seraphina. They walked past them, towards me.

Everyone was staring at us, their gaze curious or maybe shocked.

My chest slammed harder the closer they got and I buried my head to the ground, hoping that it would just open up and swallow me.

When they reached, they grabbed either of my wrists and held them up. My eyes widened as I stared up at them, a taunting smile played on their lips like predators who had finally discovered their runaway prey.

They chorused, “Got ya”.
