Eden McBride

Eden McBride, a bubbly, quirky and fun loving girl with a beautiful face and perfect body features. She had spent her 23 years of life coloring with the rules. She had a pretty simple goal for her life which was to get her parents to open the bakery, they dreamed of once.

Her father, Stephanie McBride was crippled after getting into an accident and from then, her mother, Evangeline McBride had taken the charge of the family. Besides studying, Eden had done part time jobs to support her mother financially.

But Evangeline always made sure whether Eden was lacking anything as no matter what, Eden was their only child and not to mention had always remained their first priority.

It was already bad enough for them that Eden has to do some part time jobs to fulfill her needs.

When Eden was done with her graduation, she started searching for a  job so that she could provide fully for her family and her mother could stop struggling with her job and at some point, fulfill their wish.

No matter what she was going to see through it till the end. Eden was more than just determined. Because if her parents loved her to no end, she felt the same if not much...

That day Eden was at the reception party of her friend, Siena. The party was going pretty well until she got the note.

"Meet me in the garden."

As much as Eden could smell a rat, she couldn't help checking it out. As her curiosity got the best of her, she was in the garden to meet the person who called her.

What she didn't see coming was a creepy young man trying to assault her. Well, she got startled at first by this unexpected turn of events but tried to handle a situation like that, being calm.

By the time she got a hold of her panic state, the man had already caged her in between him and the wall behind. But when the man tried to approach her to kiss, she pressed her almost three inches high heel on his foot with as much strength as possible, and just when he bent down hissing in pain, she pushed him away.

When she was about to get out of there running with the man rushing toward her while cursing, she stopped at one of the hallway gates finding a middle aged man standing there glaring at someone behind her.

Getting someone else also present there and with his expression, her courage increased and she looked behind to find if the man was still coming after her.

He was still there behind her but the man seemed to be frozen in his place, his face dark as he took the opposite way and vanished from their sight.

Eden turned to the middle aged man in front of her when she heard him, "Are you alright, dear?"

"Yeah. Thank you for asking though." Eden replied as politely as possible and walked past him.

Though she didn't let it show on her face, she was terrified and she needed a minute to catch her breath. She was angry with herself more than she was with that creepy young man. She shouldn't have just come to meet someone like this.

She tried to leave early from that party but couldn't and at some point, the middle aged man from earlier approached her.

The man turned out to be Clarke Etheridge, the chairman of a famous logistic company worth billions and offered her a job to be his secretary. Eden was more than happy to have this turn of events at the end of the day and agreed immediately. As it says all is well that ends well.

That night, she returned home with so much hope and expectations. She was already counting how much time, it would take her to save the money to open the dream bakery for her parents. Her parents were equally excited to hear the news of her job.

One week in the office with Clarke Etheridge as his secretary, Eden saw her doing the job happily till the very end as Clarke was nothing but a friendly and considerate boss anyone would dream of working with.

After one month she made her mom quit her job forcefully and take some rest because their dream bakery was going to be opened any month soon and they were supposed to be busy again.

When Clarke informed Eden that she was going to work for Damien, his son from the time he would join here coming back from his abroad business trip, she expected him to be somewhat near to his Dad.

Damien being devilishly handsome was the constant topic of the female staff of the office who were smitten by him in spite of his cold and ruthless being in business but playboy nature. This got Eden waking up from her dream job immediately and setting it in her system to get herself together.

She desperately needed the job and so, she obviously couldn't afford to mess it up but what she didn't see coming was Clarke asking her to marry Damien....
