I am surprised when I open the folder I took from Annalise and see all the work she had done, and she had done it in extreme detail. To say I was impressed was an understatement. I knew I had my doubts about her when she first started, but this folder shows just how far she has come in just a few short years since she has been assisting Barnald.

After telling Annalise to do some of her other work, I take the folder and head down the hall and into Barnald’s office. I am taken aback when he doesn’t even look up as I enter and he says,

“Miss Remington, you are late. Do you have my research and background information?”

I quietly close the door behind me as I take a few more steps into his office. I place the folder on the desk in front of him. He puts his pen down and opens the folder and then says as he seems to skim the pages,

“This is good. Is it in the order that I need? Is there anything important that stood out and that I need to know before the meeting?”
