21. Uncertain Thoughts And Fevers

I averted my gaze to the fashion store’s door, looking at the person that had just called my celebrity name. I couldn’t believe my eyes.

“Leah?” I called out. I knew she came to shop for something too.

“Nikki!” she exclaimed, coming forward.

“You came to get some stuffs too?” I asked her. I noticed her brightened expression dimmed once I told her that. She immediately covered it with a smile before looking at me calmly.

“Actually, it’s for someone really important to me.” she said.

“Oh, really. Who?” I asked, wanting to know what made her look worked up for a moment.

“My sister.” She said.

“That’s nice. I've never seen her before. Is she a model too?” I asked, arching a brow up.

“She was. My sister is in the hospital. She got involved with an accident which kept her in a coma.” Leah surprisingly let out. My eyes widened at her review and my hands lifted to my mouth in a gasp.

“I’m so sorry. I didn’t—”
