Determination

After finishing eating, Eren returned to his room. He sat in a chair in the corner of the room. While sitting down, Eren thought back to Zoya's words.

“What is my special ability? There's no way I'd been randomly chosen by Professor Alex. I have to find my special ability soon,” Eren muttered to himself.

Day after day. Week after week. Eren continues to practice routine with the Jaguar team. The longer Eren's physical abilities increase. He can keep up with the rest of the Jaguar team as he runs around the hall.

"Wow, your progress is amazing Eren. In just a few days, your physique has grown stronger. I'm glad to see it," said Ben as he sat resting next to Eren.

"Yeah thanks Ben. I'm training hard to keep up with you guys," Eren said while wiping the sweat from his forehead with a small white towel.

"Soon, you can catch up with Jacob's speed, I guess, hehehe..." Zoya said jokingly. 

"Oh no. I don't have the ability to run like Jacob," said Eren modestly. Jacob didn't change his attitude towards Eren. He remained indifferent and cold towards Eren. After resting, Eren and the Jaguar team continued physical exercises such as push ups, sit ups, lifting weights and so on.

"Professor Alex..." said Doctor Catherine who saw Professor Alex watching the Jaguar team from a distance.

"What is it Doctor Catherine?" asked Professor Alex.

"You've seen how Eren's progress is. His physical changes are growing rapidly. Do we need to test it further?” asked Doctor Catherine.

"Hmm, you can. We're going to elevate the practice even further. But not just Eren, but the entire Jaguar team," said Professor Alex.

"So what did you do Professor?" asked Doctor Catherine curiously.

“Given that time is running out, we have to train the Jaguar team in self-defense and how to use weapons. Whether it's a sharp weapon or a firearm," replied Professor Alex. Doctor Catherine was slightly surprised by Professor Alex's words.

"Weapon? Is such training necessary Prof?”

"We don't know in the past, what they will face. We better watch out. Remember Doc, this mission concerns the survival of mankind. We can't fail," replied Professor Alex with a serious face.

"Yes Professor, I understand. So when are we going to train them to use weapons?” 

"Hmm, as soon as possible. I'll talk to the council members about this first. If they agree, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we can honor the program," replied Professor Alex while looking at the Jaguar team's physical training.

"Okay then. I'm going to check on their health now," said Doctor Catherine. Doctor Catherine leaves Professor Alex to meet the Jaguar team.

"Eighty-four! Eighty-five!" said Ben counting the number of push ups that were being done by Eren and Jacob. Apparently they are competing who is stronger to do push ups.

"Come on Eren, you can!" said Miyuki encouragingly.

"Jacob, did you lose to Eren?" said Zoya heatedly Jacob.

"Ninety-four, ninety-five..." Ben said counting.

"I give up!" Eren shouted. He stopped doing push ups and immediately lay down on the floor. Jacob, who had already won from Eren, immediately stopped the push up.

"Hosh... hosh..." Eren's breath hitched. Miyuki got a bottle of mineral water for Eren.

"Here drink first," said Miyuki. Eren drank the mineral water voraciously. His body and face were covered with sweat.

"You're still ahead, Jacob," said Ben congratulating him on his victory over Eren.

"Of course, he's not my rival," Jacob said arrogantly. He always looked down on Eren. When the Jaguar team was enjoying their break, suddenly Doctor Catherine and Doctor Richard came over to them.

“Hello team, how are you all? Today Doctor Richard and I will check the health conditions of all of you, "said Doctor Catherine. One by one the Jaguar team members were checked for health. Starting from blood pressure to blood checks.

"Hmm everything looks healthy," said Doctor Catherine.

“Doc, how do you check our health condition now. Usually you don't check this often," Zoya said suspiciously.

“Oh yeah, it's because you're all going to a new training program.” 

When Doctor Catherine said that, the entire Jaguar team listened intently.

“A new training program?” he asked.

"Yes, the new program," answered Doctor Catherine briefly.

"What's the program like?" asked Ben curiously.

"Professor Alex will tell you later. It is not in my capacity to announce it. Tomorrow or the day after Professor Alex will explain it to all of you. My job is just to take care of your health,” said Doctor Catherine. Shortly after, Doctor Catherine and Doctor Richard left the Jaguar team.

"What's the program? Looks like this is something important," Zoya said to her four friends.

“Yeah, I never heard of any other training program while I was here. Do you know anything Jacob?” Miyuki asked while looking at Jacob.

"I also do not know. But if it's Professor Alex who has to deliver, it means it's something important,” Jacob replied with a serious face.

"It's true what you said. Yes, we should rest for now. Looks like tomorrow Professor Alex will meet us," said Ben. The five of them disbanded from physical training. When Eren was about to go back to his room, Zoya suddenly came up to him.

"Eren..." Zoya called.

"Oh Zoya, what's wrong?" asked Eren.

"Eren, I want to ask you something. You've been here a few weeks. Do you already know what your special ability is?” Zoya asked curiously.

“I expected you to ask something like that Sorry Zoya, I don't even know what my special ability is. Could it be that Professor Alex had chosen me wrong? Maybe because of this, Jacob always looks down on me,” said Eren doubting himself.

"Impossible. Professor Alex's class would never go wrong with people. Especially for the Jaguar team," said Zoya. Eren was a little relieved to hear Zoya's words. He had doubted himself.

"Don't think too much about it. I'm sure you have special abilities that we all don't have. You better rest now. I have a feeling, tomorrow Professor Alex will announce something important," Zoya said trying to reassure Eren.

"Yes, then I will rest in my room now," said Eren. He continued his footsteps towards his room. After entering his room, Eren took off his top. His athletic body is clearly visible. This is thanks to the physical training he does every day with the Jaguar team. Eren lay down on his sophisticated bed.

“Anyway, I need to find my special ability soon. No matter what it is!” said Eren determinedly. Eren immediately fell asleep on his bed to recover his body from fatigue.
