Olivia’s POV
Absolute silence filled the call after I revealed what had happened. It was so quiet that I debated if the call had ended or if my best friend was really that shocked. Pulling my phone away from my ear, I looked at the screen to see that her name was still on the screen, but Adrina’s speechlessness and her lack of comments terrified me slightly.
“Adrina? Are you still there?” I asked softly as I began walking to the subway.
After a few seconds, I heard a sharp exhale. “Yeah, I’m here. Sorry, I was not expecting that. What the hell happened, Olivia?”
