Chapter 24: Enlightenment

Olivia’s POV

My head pounded loudly in my ears and a sharp pain jolted through my forehead. Reaching my hand up to pinch my forehead, I groaned in pain. Slowly, the realization of my surroundings started becoming more evident to me. Whatever I was laying on did not feel like my bed and pillow, while the usual sound of the New York traffic didn’t echo in my ears.

Instantly my eyes flew open to find a brown ceiling above me, further convincing me that I was not in my apartment.
