Gabriel’s POV

After nearly an hour of searching, I finally spotted Clairessa on the far side of the garden with Lisa.

She held a glass of champagne in one hand, her back partially turned as she spoke. Her other hand clutched her phone, screen lit, clearly active.

But then she looked up and gave Lisa a polite nod, pretending to be engaged in the conversation.

So she was ignoring my texts on purpose.

Was she trying to avoid me?

I needed to fix this. Now.

Lisa gave her a gentle tap on the shoulder, murmured something, then stepped away to greet a couple walking past.

This was my chance.

I crossed the garden in long strides, ignoring every attempt at small talk. I didn’t stop until I was beside her.

I leaned in, my voice low against her ear.

“Why haven’t you been replying to my texts… when your phone is clearly in your hand?”

She put her phone to the side and turned slowly.

“I don’t know,” she said, voice slightly detached. “Maybe because your ex-wife showed up, and all the emotional chao

they should definitely tell Adrian, but other than that, Gabriel owes him nothing. Adrian cheated. when Gabriel started seeing her, was not even aware that she was his son's ex. Adrian is an adult, should be making his own decisions, standing on his own feet. Does not need to be mollycoddled.

  • Falling For My Ex's Dad   The Weekend Was Over

Clairessa’s POVThe morning sun should’ve felt refreshing. Instead, it just reminded me that the weekend was over, and reality was about to hit hard. Our luggage was lined up along the marble walkway. Everyone was packed and ready to leave.Randolph stood proudly at the center of it all, arms stretched wide like a man who just conquered time itself."Thank you all so much for coming," he said with a voice that carried across the courtyard. "It was a fantastic birthday. A damn fantastic one."Gabriel was the first to step forward. "Thank you, Randolph. You really pulled it off."Adrian clapped his hand firmly. "The food, the band, the people, you really did the most."I smiled as I walked up to him. "Thank you so much, Randolph. It was truly a fantastic birthday. I just pray you get many more years, more strength, and when you hit your next big milestone, we’ll all be right there celebrating with you again."Randolph laughed hard. "Oh, one hundred percent. No matter where in the world

Gabriel’s POVClairessa’s head tipped back slowly against my shoulder, lips parted, breath shallow. I felt the tremble in her body press into mine.“Gabriel…” she whispered. “Do you really mean that? Because if this ends… if you walk away again, I won’t survive it. I can’t go through what happened before. I can’t relive that.”Immediately, I turned her gently, forcing her to look at me.Her eyes were glassy, vulnerable as she searched mine.“I’m not walking away,” I assured her softly. “This is real. I’m real. And I will fight until my last breath to make sure you know that.”I drew her closer, my arm firm around her waist. Then I leaned in and kissed her—slow, certain, and full of everything I didn’t have the words to say.Her breath hitched.“Does that feel real to you?” I asked, brushing my lips against hers. She shook her head faintly. “I don’t know.”I kissed her again. Harder this time. Her hands tangled in my shirt, clutching and needing me.My mouth took hers, passionately dev

  • Falling For My Ex's Dad   Chapter 238: She Orchestrated This Little Reunion

Gabriel’s POV I almost held Clairessa's hand back, but it would’ve drawn too much attention. Too many eyes were already on us. So I nodded once, barely, and let her go. “See you both later,” she said, waving lightly as she followed Randolph and Lisa into the crowd. And just like that, I was left standing with Adrian on one side and Angelique on the other. What a goddamn disaster. This was certainly not the place for a family reunion, but it was happening, whether we liked it or not. Angelique shifted closer now, trying too hard to smile. “Gabriel, I'm sorry that we’re reuniting like this,” she said, her voice thin. “I wish it could’ve been... different.” I laughed coldly. “No, you don’t.” My tone was harsh. “It’s obvious now that you orchestrated this little reunion with Randolph’s wife. So tell me, Angelique, all for what?” She took another careful step even closer, her face soft with remorse. “So we could talk.” I exploded. “Talk?” I snapped. “And you did

  • Falling For My Ex's Dad   Chapter 237: My Ex-wife Is Back

Gabriel’s POVFucking hell.Of all the women in the world, it had to be my ex-wife. Adrian’s mother.Angelique.The last person I ever expected to see at Randolph’s party, dripping in pearls, wearing that glowing emerald dress, and flashing the same carefree laugh that used to drive me insane. Now? It disgusted me completely.I hadn’t seen her in over ten years, by choice. And now she was being introduced as Randolph’s wife’s “dear friend.”What were the fucking odds?I felt the blood drain from my face. My fists clenched at my sides.Damn it.Angelique's eyes locked on mine across the crowd.I didn’t even know how to feel. Anger? Numbness? It was a toxic blend of both. But more than anything, I could feel Clairessa’s eyes shift to me. She looked confused and shocked. So did Adrian.“Dad,” Adrian said, stepping closer to me, his voice tense. “Did you know about this?”I shook my head immediately. “Of course I didn’t.”Adrian scoffed. “Wow, so she’s just been living her life all these

  • Falling For My Ex's Dad   Chapter 236: More Complicated Than I Thought

Clairessa’s POV My heart pounded so loud I could hear it in my ears. The moment I heard Adrian’s voice outside the door, my heart stopped for a second. “Dad... morning to you,” Adrian called. I could barely breathe. He was right outside the door. No, no, he couldn’t find me here. Not like this. I glanced at Gabriel, who was already moving, positioning himself in front of the door like a shield. I could see the tension in his shoulders, the way his hand gripped the doorframe tightly. "Dad... why are you holding the door? Can I come in?" Adrian’s voice was too close and suspicious. The panic hit my throat. Before Gabriel could say anything else, I ran. Not far. Just to the balcony. I slipped through the glass doors, stepping out into the cool morning air, and pulled the curtain halfway shut behind me. I pressed myself against the wall, trying my hardest not to make a sound as my eyes darted over the floor, then down. God, the drop was brutal. There was no way down from here
