Daisy’s POV

I woke up feeling good. For the first time in a long time, the day felt like my own. Vincenzo had told me to take the day off today, a little rest after the stress of the past week. I decided I wanted to do something just for me. I chose to start my day with a spontaneous trip to Milan’s fancy, high-end boutiques. I felt like I had earned a reward. I wanted something silk, something special, something that was made just for me. Something that matched the new, bold person I’d found inside myself last week in the warehouse.

I walked along the streets, the warm Italian sun on my shoulders. I strolled past the big, shiny storefronts. It felt good to be outside, enjoying the simple things. I loved the loud sounds of the city… the cheerful buzz of shoppers talking and laughing, the deep sounds of motorbikes zipping by on the old cobblestone streets. I could hear music from inside the stores drifting out through the open doors, a happy, peaceful melody.

And then, I saw her.

The encounter spun inside my head as I walked. On one hand, I’d drawn a line in the sand. I had stood up for myself. I would not bow down to her. Sofia had completely underestimated how far I had come, how deeply I had become a part of this new, dangerous world. She didn't know who I was now. On the other hand, a tiny, ugly doubt slithered into my mind. A voice that whispered: What could happen if Sophia truly becomes Donna? What then?I shook off the thought, trying to push it away. I was alive and strong, and I had survived so many more difficulties in my life. If something like that happens, I'd just move on with my life and keep surviving, just like I always had. I was a survivor. Always a survivor. I held onto that thought as I made my way home.___________That evening, dinner at Vincenzo’s grand mansion felt different. The air felt charged, even though the house was calm and quiet. I had kept the encounter with Sofia to myself, but the words still echoed in my mind.Vincenzo st

Leonid turned to his own men, a quick glance, then nodded slowly. He turned back to Daisy, and spoke, his voice surprisingly low and thoughtful: “That is fine by me.” He then stood up, signaling the end of his consideration. “You’re rather bold to negotiate with me. Usually, I’d give you a week to sort things out, but seeing as you’ve managed to impress me today, I’ll give you all a month to fix this and make sure our goods are delivered. This was a deal between Vincenzo and I, and I already played my part, so I don’t want any further delays.” His tone was still firm, but there was a hint of respect in his voice now. Daisy kept strong eye contact, showing no fear or relief. “That’s generous of you. I can assure you everything will be sorted out soon enough.” He looked at her once more, a lingering gaze. “Angel… Now I see why Marino let you in. Keep that card: if anytime he decides otherwise, call me.” He then slipped a dark business card into her palm, his fingers brushing hers. Then

A week had passed since Daisy stood before Vincenzo’s most trusted men, his inner circle, and swore to be loyal. In that short time, she had shown herself to be much more capable than anyone expected… even herself. News had also somehow spread about the busted shipment, meaning that it was now common knowledge in their dangerous world. That afternoon, Daisy raised her pistol. Her hands were firm, and her face had a serious look. She had never fired a gun before joining Vincenzo’s large criminal group, his empire. But here she was now… standing tall, her shoulders squared, looking very serious and focused. She was practicing at a special shooting area, a makeshift firing range, built right inside the warehouse complex.Vincenzo had strongly insisted that she learn to shoot. “Self-defense,” he had told her, meaning she needed to learn to protect herself. “If you plan to stand with me in this world, this dangerous life, you must be able to pull the trigger without any fear.”That command

“You agree to the meeting,” she began, her voice steady and confident, “but under our terms. It has to be a controlled environment, a place where neither side has an advantage. All exit routes must be secured, meaning they can’t escape easily. No one enters without their IDs being checked and logged, and no weapons in sight. Bring only their spokesman, the person speaking for them, alone. Offer them limited intelligence about an outdated informant… something worthless to them, something that won’t harm us if it gets out. In exchange, demand verifiable proof of the origin of their information, so we know it’s real and where it came from. Meanwhile, feed them disinformation to sow doubt between them and their own side, to make them distrust each other. And secure surveillance inside their meeting place so you can monitor all their communication. If they try to betray us, you’re ready to react. After the meeting, confirm their intel through independent sources before committing to anythi

Daisy’s heart beat like a loud drum inside her chest as she followed Vincenzo into the huge, dark space. Their footsteps echoed loudly over the cold concrete floor. All around them, armed men slowly appeared from the shadowy corners of the warehouse. Each man stepped forward, showing respect to Vincenzo. Their eyes quickly moved from Vincenzo to Daisy, then back to him. She could feel their stares like a heavy weight pressing on her. She had never seen so many guns in one place, or so many unfriendly faces. It was intimidating.Vincenzo led her across the vast floor without flinching or even glancing at the other men. He put a hand on the lower part of her back. It wasn’t a touch meant to show he owned her, but a gentle warning. It was meant to keep her close, to gently hold her in place. That simple touch said everything: "She's with me, so leave her alone."They reached the very center of the warehouse. Where a long metal table stood directly under a single, bright fluorescent light
