KATHY

I had never been on a private plane before.

The moment I stepped into Viktor’s private plane I immediately realized we lived in twice completely different worlds.

The cabin looked more like a living room in a 5 star hotel than an airplane. The whole seats where made of black leather. And everything else looked just as expensive.

I sat on one of the seats at the back, pretending like this was all normal to me but it wasn’t.

Anya had no problem at all though. She bounced on the seat beside me like she had been doing that all her life, which I was sure she was.

She looked at me smiling then she eagerly grabbed my hand and started showing me around while Viktor discussed something with Romanov near the front area.

I watched them for all of two seconds before turning my attention back to Anya. I already knew something was wrong the moment he said we were going on vacation. I just didn't know what.

Nana wasn’t happy about me leaving the country when I told her I wouldn’t be around for a week but gabby, being who she was said “go shoot your shot”. I laughed when she told me.

I wouldn’t be shooting any shot. Heaven knows.

The flight attendants appeared shortly after. 3 of them.

They all looked polished and professional. But they were all finding different reasons to walk past Viktor’s seat. That was unprofessional.

‘Like you were professional when you kissed him back’

My stupid head just had to remind me of that now.

“Mr Svyatoslav, would you like another drink?” I heard one of the women ask.

“Can i get you anything else?” Another came asking.

Their smile lingered a bit longer than necessary and their eyes roamed over his body like they were some hungry wolves.

I rolled my eyes.

Why was I even watching him. I didn’t care what he was going to say to them.

I brought out a book and opened it to read, whoever filled that library with such great books should just marry me.

A few minutes later Natalia stood up from her seat and quietly walked to the back of the plane.

I was sitting at the last seat at the back, with Anya sleeping by my side.

Then I heard Natalia’s voice.

I leaned back a little to hear her voice more clearly.

“… don’t forget why you’re here” her voice was low but i could tell she was raising her voice.

“Your job is to serve the passengers not flirt with Mr Svyatoslav”

Apparently I wasn’t the only one annoyed by their unprofessional behavior. But why did Natalia care so much?

Sometimes she really confuses me.

____________________

Viktor didn’t tell me where we were going to so I just thought we would be going to Hawaii or something but imagine my surprise when we landed in Italy.

Holy fuck!

We were in lake Como shortly after and that was the most beautiful place I had ever seen in my life.

It was breathtaking.

Anya practically dragged me through every little street she could find.

We were supposed to go to the villa but Anya told Viktor she wanted to see the city. Honestly, so did I.

He sent some guards with us but said he had to be somewhere. Natalia practically went straight to the villa not even blinking twice.

We browsed tiny souvenir shops, admired the flowers and we stopped every few minutes because she wanted to take another picture.

Her English was getting better, but not good. Just enough to understand and catch whatever she was trying to say. Which was good.

We spent the rest of the day walking, just me and Anya, with her nanny following us at a respectful distance.

We walked through narrow streets that smelled like flowers and old stone. Anya collected gelato, some post cards and a small ceramic black cat she immediately named Viktor.

When we finally left to go to the villa and I immediately decided that this was my favorite place in the world. The water, flat and silvery. The mountains besides the water. It was beautiful.

Anya pulled me towards the terrace the moment we stepped out of the car and I just knew it was going to be a long day.

The next morning I slept in. By the time I woke up it was already 11am. I was still so fucking tired from yesterday and was still jet lagged.

I took a quick shower and wandered around, looking for the kitchen. I came across a window that showed the magnificent water and I stopped to take a look.

“It’s beautiful” I whispered.

“It is” Viktor said from behind me, making me jump.

“Uhm i was looking for the kitchen”

“I’ll show you” he said and started walking while I followed him.

He showed me where the kitchen was and I thanked the lord.

I took some bread and coffee, then I went back to the room I was given.

By afternoon Anya came into my room wearing a cute swimsuit and a floater around her waist.

I looked at her confused.

Nobody told me we would be going swimming.

Her nanny walked in, telling me she had asked Viktor about it and he agreed and said everyone would be swimming. Including me.

I just wanted to rest but I didn’t really have a choice especially when Anya was looking at me like that.

By the time we got to the pool, the afternoon sun reflected in the crystal-clear water while soft music drifted through the gardens surrounding the villa.

I adjusted the lightweight white cover-up tied around my swimsuit.

Viktor emerged from across the pool, wearing nothing but black swim shorts.

I forgot how to breathe.

His broad shoulders and tanned skin looked so fucking good but what really caught my attention was his tattoos.

My eyes followed the curve of the tattoos.

I wondered what they meant. Did he get them just for the fun of it or...

"Katherine." Natalia's voice pulled me from my thoughts.

I quickly looked away.

A knowing smile spread across her lips.

"Caught staring?"

"I wasn't staring"

"If you say so"

She stepped closer.

"You know..."

She glanced toward Viktor.

"He's always had expensive tastes."

I remained silent.

"He would never look at someone like you twice."

I couldn't help laughing.

Natalia frowned.

Wouldn't look at me but his tongue was literally at the back of my throat just the other day.

"You find that funny?"

"I do."

Without another word, I untied my cover-up, folded it neatly over a lounge chair, and walked toward the pool.

Then I dove in.

The cool water surrounded me instantly, making all the hair in my body stand. My nipples decided they wanted to be seen too.

A few moments later, I came back on top, walking out of the pool while I squeezed my hair dry.

From across the pool Viktor's eyes landed on me.

Then they lingered.

Long enough for Natalia to notice too.

So much for never looking at me twice.

I hid my smile and settled onto the edge of the pool with a cold fruit drink.

Anya suddenly splashed water all over me.

"Kathy!"

I laughed.

"Really?"

"Come play!"

She turned toward Viktor.

"Dyadya Vik! Idi igrat' so mnoy!"

Viktor set down his drink and stepped into the pool.

Anya immediately threw a colorful beach ball between us.

I reached for it at the same moment Viktor did.

Instead of catching the ball...

I lost my balance.

My back bumped lightly against his chest and something else.

Neither of us moved.

His buldging cock was right below my waist.

I quickly adjusted myself as his hand instinctively steadied my arm so I wouldn't slip again.

Our eyes met for a brief second.

The ball floated past us while Anya laughed, completely unaware.

From the corner of my eye I caught Natalia watching us.

And judging by the look on her face... she wasn't happy at all.

And I honestly didn't give a fuck.

KATHY 3 days later we were back in the US. I was very glad to be back. Being attacked wasn't part of the vacation specifications and I didn't like that very much even though I had caught the rat. Viktor had killed him without even thinking twice. Would he do the same to me when he finds out who I really am? I had better start making escape plans just in case. The drive back to the mansion somehow felt heavenly. Three cars, Viktor and Romanov in one, Natalia and Anya in the other and I in the last car. It was peaceful. I looked at my arm which had healed enough that I no longer needed a bandage, though the scar was still there. I would have to wear long sleeve shirts to visit Nana. It would be hard to explained that my life was at risk at my employer's home. The car I was in finally came to a stop last. Anya and Natalia had already gone inside while I walked behind Viktor who was many steps away from me. The moment I stepped on the foyer, I saw Zuri. "Kathy" he gre

KATHY"Call the doctor."Viktor's voice was calm, but everyone moved immediately.Romanov gave a short nod before disappearing down the hallway.I looked down at my arm. The adrenaline had worn off, and the burning pain was becoming harder to ignore. Blood had soaked through my sleeve, staining my shirt.About 15 minutes later, the doctor arrived. He cleaned the wound, stitched the cut, and wrapped my forearm in a neat white bandage."It isn't deep," he said. "You'll be sore for a few days, but you'll be fine. I'll give you some painkillers"As soon as he finished, Viktor looked at me."Go get your things."I frowned."My things?""We're leaving."I stood up to leave but Anya wouldn't let go. So we both went into my room together and I packed my bags. I didn't leave anything behind. We also went to Anya's room and picked some of her clothes and stuffed toys inside her school bag and we both went downstairs.Viktor took one look at my bag and back at my face.I shrugged. • Falling For The Mafia   27: Under Attack

KATHYI knew something was wrong the moment Viktor said we were leaving the country. "A vacation" was what he called it. Although the few days I had been here had been beautiful so far, something just didn't feel right. I could feel it. I wish I could just know what was happening. But my best guess was that the Mafia was under attach. The security around Viktor had doubled since we'd arrived. Romanov was constantly on the phone. Guards rotated shifts more frequently than before, and Viktor himself rarely relaxed, no matter how calm he appeared.Which made it all the more reason to believe that they were having some kind of fight. Would running away for a week really protect us? That afternoon, I wandered through one of the quiet hallways, hoping to clear my head, because something just kept nagging at me.I heard voices through a half-open door."...I've told you before."It was Viktor's voice.I stopped involuntarily.I wasn't trying to eavesdrop or anything.I had every intent

  • Falling For The Mafia   26: Dangerous Asset

VIKTOR I hadn't stopped thinking about yesterday. It was becoming a problem. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Katherine diving into the pool without a hint of hesitation. The moment she came back out of the water in her swim suit, I knew all hope were lost for me. I wanted her. Beautiful. Dangerously beautiful. I let out a quiet sigh and rubbed a hand over my face. I had meetings to think about. A war brewing back in New York. Shipments that needed rerouting. Enemies who wanted my head. Instead... I was thinking about Katherine. Pathetic. I left my room and walked down the hallway toward hers. Just as I was about to knock, I heard laughter. Not just laughter. Her laughter. "...Gabby, stop!" she giggled through the phone. "No, I'm serious!" She laughed again. "I am not blushing!" A smile threatened to form on my lips. It disappeared the moment I realized I was smiling because of a woman talking on the phone. Ridiculous. I knocked o
