Jack
I knew it was Hope the minute someone hugged me from behind. She’s the only one who would pull such on me. I turned around and hugged her more tightly. I love her, everything about her lights up my world in the realest way.
I’ve known her since we were little, the friendship started with our parents though. They’re quite close and after being on a few play dates, we just happened to clicked too. I’m two years older than her and that somehow earned me the big brother tag. And for the life of me, I do take her as my sister. The one I never had and so, I love her so much. She’s fun to be with and when she’s around, she makes sure to enjoy herself to the fullest.
Like tonight, she had called to ask if I’d be coming to the party. My answer was initially no until she told me she’d be coming with her gorgeous single friend. The emphasis on the single was loud. It was as if she was trying to subtly tell me something. I got the hint too so I came prepared.
I made sure I was looking my best and even got there early. Of course, I knew Hope wouldn’t pull up until it’s a bit late. That's her style, she likes being the center of attention in the room and that can only happen when there are people in there already.
I was about getting my glass refilled when I felt those soft arms wrap around me. My face lit up with a smile immediately as I turned around.
Hope had my full attention so I didn’t notice the beauty beside her but once I did, I was hooked.
Oh my goodness! She was so beautiful and had one of the craziest sexy body I had even seen. Calling her gorgeous would be a gross understatement. She was breathtaking.
I looked at Hope to introduce us… I could have done so myself but I didn’t want to make any wrong step that might turn her off so I just had to control myself. Hope was still being slow about it so I cleared my throat loudly, and then nudged in her direction. She got the hint then and then went on to introduce us.
Daisy… that was the perfect name for a beauty like her. She stretched out her hand for a shake but heck no! I’m not missing the chance to have her in my arms.
I pulled her into an embrace and held her so tenderly. My God! She was sweetly soft and smelled so good I had to stop myself from licking her face off.
I wasn’t sure if I was imagining things but for a second there, it felt like she snuggled more into me. Her head pressed more into my chest and I just couldn’t resist the urge to get some of that nice warmth. I sniffed her head and she immediately pulled away.
I was scared I had thrown her off but when I looked in her eyes, I knew we were good.
What’s a nice night without a little compliment? It wasn’t hard coming up with beautiful words for her but Hope’s playful jealousy got in the way. We laughed it off and she eventually left us.
I heaved a sigh of joy when I was alone with her but it wasn’t long before her phone got her attention. That was quite okay so I just let her do her thing until she started giggling and blushing.
Damn! I got jealous… I don’t need her smiling at someone else's lines. I moved closer but I wasn’t going to snoop so I was only going to get back my girl’s attention.
“What’s funny?” I asked while she suddenly looked up and before we knew what was happening, our lips had collided.
“Oh my God, oh my… I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to do that.” She quickly pulled back and apologized.
I wanted to tell her that I liked it and didn’t mind but that wasn’t the time or place for such. We just got to know each other, I can’t be too forward with her. Girls like her don’t like it.
“What? Nothing happened, I was the one snooping so I’m sorry.” I chimed in and she finally relaxed.
“So we were saying?” I added while she smiled.
“Nothing I haven’t heard before actually. 'Ohh… Daisy, you’re so beautiful…' I get that almost everyday so yeah…” she replied.
I stared deeply in her eyes then. I was surprised to hear that from her. I thought she was one of those gentle girls who are so shy they never say what’s on their mind. She’s different and that made me want her even more.
“You’re right, you deserve better than cliche lines, right? So what do you want? Let’s start from there.”
“I don’t know, you tell me. Surprise me!” She retorted flawlessly.
“Be careful what you wish for, beautiful.” I chuckled at her while she gave me that face that says ‘go ahead, I dare you!’
“I guess you’re just talks then, or maybe you need a strong drink.” She turned to call one of the girls serving then but before she could, I grabbed her hand and yanked her over.
She landed right in my chest, body pressed tightly against mine while I stared intently in her eyes. It was so intense that she struggled to keep contact but I didn’t give her that chance to look away.
It felt like our body was burning into each other, that was how hot the moment was. I slowly raised her chin up and then leaned over to her level. She closed her eyes immediately and I could see her lips watering so desperately for a kiss.
Not yet though, she just dared me and I’m not letting her go scotfree. I'm going to make her bed for it.
“You’re so damn hot, I could eat you raw right here, right now. Can I?” I whispered in her mouth as slowly and sensual as I could be.
She immediately opened her eyes then and was going to push me away but her purse had hooked my shirt. The hold pulled her back and she forced it free but it was sudden and it pushed her off balance. I tried to get a hold of her but I was a split second late, and the next thing I knew was being soaked with the huge splash from her fall. She fell hard into the pool. One look at her and I knew she couldn’t swim. I quickly jumped in and pulled her out.
Her dress was all wet and plastered to her body, revealing everything and leaving little to the imagination. I couldn’t bear seeing the guys feed on my girl so without a second thought, I lifted her and hurried away.
“What are you doing?” She quizzed as we made our way through.
“Saving my girl…” I chimed in.
She didn’t say anything and just stared at me briefly before looking away.
I dropped her at the restroom and then left to give her some privacy. I was back shortly with some swimsuit.
“Here, got this for you. You can wear that while we get your dress dried.” I hung it on the door and then excused her again.
About ten minutes later, I finally heard the door open. I turned to look and there she was, looking so hot. Her cleavage were popping out and I couldn’t tear my eyes off it. Her waist, hip, skin, legs… if perfection was a person, it was Daisy!
“What? Why are you staring that way?” She finally found her voice.
“Oh my, you’re so… hot. Damn it… I can’t even stop looking. Where have you been my whole life?” I let out while she chuckled.
“You’re making me so uncomfortable, Jack.” She tried to hide her blush but her red cheeks gave her away.
“Let’s get this dried. I can’t keep walking around in this.” She added.
“Why not? It’s called a pool party for a reason.”
“I know right, but I still want what I want.” She argued.
“Yeah right, I don't want the other boys seeing how hot you are anyway. I want mine to be the only eyes on you tonight.” I chimed in while she smiled again.
“Come on, let’s go upstairs, I’m sure we’ll find something there.” I immediately saw the reluctance on her face when I said that and I got the hint.
“Oh no, no… I’m never going to do anything like that. I like you but I’d never do anything you don’t want to do.” I quickly chimed in.
She stared at me for a few seconds before nodding.
“Okay then, let’s go.” I grabbed her hand and then led the way upstairs.
All the while, all I could think of was how much I want her and I'll do anything to get her. She’s exactly what my life needs… has needed for a long time and now that I found her, I’m not playing games no more…
DaisyI was in the living room, scrolling absentmindedly on my phone, when I heard the knock at the door. My heart gave that little skip it always does when I know who it is before even checking. I opened it and saw Liam standing there with a warm and confident smile on his face that instantly lifted my mood.He already told me yesterday that we’d be going on a date today and he’d be coming over to pick me up. About an hour ago, I started preparing and once I was done, I can’t into the living room to watch some tv before he arrives. I didn’t even pay attention to the show airing, I was busy with my phone talk through.“You look beautiful,” he said, his gaze sweeping over me in a way that wasn’t creepy but still made my stomach flutter. I had gone for something simple but cute. I wore a soft, pastel dress that skimmed my knees and the daintiest sandals I owned.“Thank you,” I let out slowly with a smile while he then handed me a sleek black bag with gold accents. “This is for you.” He
Hope The room was still dark when I opened my eyes and my first thought was that I’d slept through the night, that maybe the pills had done their job and knocked me out cold. I rolled over, reaching for my phone on the nightstand, already expecting to see early morning hours glowing on the screen as I turned it on. But then, it lit up and my brain couldn’t process the numbers.Ten minutes… I have been sleeping for only ten freaking minutes!I just stared at the screen, my heart thudding as it didn’t make any sense at all. My body felt heavy, my eyes were puffy and my mind worn thin. How is it possible that I’d been lying here for less time than it takes to watch an episode of some random sitcom? I threw the phone back onto the bed and sat up slowly, like maybe moving too fast would make the whole thing feel worse.I pressed my hands into my face, letting out a long, muffled groan. I had no idea what to do with myself. My thoughts kept circling like vultures no matter what I tried to
HopeI don’t even know how long I stood there in that shadowy corner of the backyard, my heart hammering so loud I was sure they’d hear it. I had been smiling to myself just minutes ago, thinking Ryan had gone to buy my favorite flowers. I was already planning the way I’d tease him for being sneaky and romantic at the same time. But then, there he was with her… She was was petite, pretty, wearing a loose cardigan and slippers. Her hair still damp like she’d just showered. She smiled so warmly at him it made my stomach twist. And Ryan… God, the way his facelit up.He handed her the bouquet, and she took it like it was the most precious thing in the world. Then she hugged him and it wasn’t the usual friendly hug, it was the kind where your whole body leans in, where your hands grip the other person like you’re afraid they might vanish. And then, they just… stood there, staring into each other’s eyes. Slow, deep, lingering like two people completely lost in their own bubble. That was it
HopeI wasn’t ready for the day to end so I didn’t even bother answering when Ryan asked if we were leaving soon.“You seem in a hurry, if I was an overthinker, I’d think you’re trying to get away from me so fast.” I let out while he laughed so hard.“My goodness… I fucking love you Hope Grenier. My life would be so boring without you in it. I mean, how the heck did you come up with that in a second.” He let out and I just managed to laugh too. I was busy reading his expression. “Well, there’s that too anyway but that’s the vibe I’m getting from you but it’s okay.” I said and we then went on to talk about other things. But then, throughout the whole time, Ryan was clearly distracted. If he wasn’t busy on his phone, he’s busy trying to force a conversation or forcing a laugh so I don’t ask questions. I saw everything but I never asked him anything. When we were finally done having fun, we decided to call it a night. Ryan walked me to my car, his hand warm against the small of my back
HopeRyan and I pulled into the restaurant almost at the same time, which, honestly, felt like a movie moment. He stepped out of his car just as I did mine, that easy smile of his already in place. One look at his fine face and I was already smiling too. My God, he looked so good and that just made me more sure of why I was doing this.‘I love this man’ - I muttered under my breathe. “Well, look at that,” he said, meeting me halfway on the pavement. “Perfect timing. You stalking me now, my love?” He added while I laughed, leaning in for a light hug. “You wish.” I let out softly but the moment my cheek brushed his shoulder, something caught my attention. It was a soft floral scent and definitely not mine. My brows pulled together before I could stop them.I leaned back, inhaling just a little more on purpose. “Hmm. You smell… different.” I retorted while he blinked and then smirked. “Different bad or different good?” He quizzed while I searched his eyes but found nothing. “Differ
Hope“Hey, babes… good afternoon.” I said to Daisy over the phone.“Heyy my love, how are you?” She replied.“I’m good. I’m going on a date with Ryan so I’m getting ready. You know I have to give my best and remind him again how lucky he is to have me.” I chimed in while she burst into laughter and I just had to join too.“Of course, I trust you. So are you guys like a thing now,”“Not yet, but I’m asking him today.” I replied and I could imagine her sitting up immediately.“You’re asking Ryan out yourself?” She repeated and I nodded, knowing she couldn’t see me.“Yes babes. I’m asking him out this afternoon. He’s been asking for so long and I kept pushing. I’ve always felt the connection but I just wasn’t sure I was ready. I know I am now and I don’t want to lose him to another woman.” I let out.“Who are you and what have you done to me best friend?” Daisy squeaked over the phone and I just couldn’t help but laugh.“I know right, I can’t believe I’m doing this too.” I added and trul
