Grace had prepared lunch for them. Ruby thought of it as a feast rather than lunch. There are all kinds of food places on the table with maids to attend to their needs.

After a wonderful lunch, Nate excused himself to run the affairs of the house while Grace and Ruby talked about a sitcom that was now airing.

“You know, this is the first time Nate ever brought a woman home” Grace commented

It had come as a pleasant shock to her and some of the maids. Once, a rumor circulated about Nate being celibate and unreasonably cold towards women.
