Billy sipped into his cognac, taking a break, letting the bartender that he had hired do the job. Selena’s friends have helped him advertising the bar on that Facebook thing and now it was full as it has ever been, just like the old times. Yet, he began realizing that maybe it was really too much work to manage all this by himself.

He had not been getting sleep as he should lately. His daughter was not returning his calls and the damn receptionist at the office had stopped answering on Cassandra’s request. All since the day he caught her in the arms of that young artist.

It had been three weeks since then and he didn’t even hear from her. Last Saturday, in bed, his wife spoke words which had been haunting him since: Where did we go wrong, hun? She’s not even calling us anymore. He clenched the glass, gazing at the dark orangey color of the liquor. It was all his fault. He failed her as a father, failed to be more supportive.
