81. The Wedding
When she heard the melodious song, Cassandra looked away from April towards the end on the path, seeing all the guests standing up, all attention directed towards a single way. She held her breath, catching sight of the bride.
She had often fantasized about how beautiful she would look in a wedding dress but none came close to what laid before her eyes. She was simply magnificent. She wore a long dress with long sleeves, covering her arms with delicate lace, a white veil trailing behind her as she slowly took those elegant steps, walking down the aisle, her arm entwined with her father’s.
Her golden blonde hair was partially tied on one side with a sapphire hair clip, matching the blue of her eyes, letting the wavy strands fall on one side. Her heart pounded in her chest, as she step by step, came closer to her.

The sky-blue canvas blotted out the rest of the art like an ocean tide. People floated around it, their eyes drawn irresistibly to its depths. It was so captivating that they forgot about the other artworks in the room. The six-foot tall painting was a beautiful mess of colors, and they couldn't help but get lost in it. As she listened, she couldn't help but wonder what the crowd thought of it. “It's strange!” “I could do so much better, ugh.” “Instagrammable, oh my. She listened attentively. Some described the painting as abstract and modern. Others expressed their displeasure at their inability to grasp what it was trying to convey. For herself, she saw it as a chance to establish a name and gain popularity.
