She left her clinic around 1 p.m., wanting to drop by the hospital to see if the patients she had treated were faring better. Her phone vibrated, alerting her of a new message and she reached for it, sliding it open. From Selena. She clicked on the video, seeing that the white beast was resting on top of one of the rotating blades of her ceiling fan. How on Earth did it get up there?

A message popped up:

I can’t get him down. Can I turn on the fan?

Silly. She called her instantly, the call going on her car’s Bluetooth system and Selena answered right away, her voice resonating in the car, “Doctor! How dare you go to work on your break, you workaholic slave of medicine!”
