Chapter 21

Amanda and her parents spent another hour at the Jefferson’s before calling it a day. They left soon with much appreciation from them. Just before she left, she exchanged numbers with Austin who promised to keep in touch. He seemed like a fairly nice boy hence her main reason to give him her number.

They got home soon and Amanda retired for the night. To say she was tired would be an understatement, she was sleepy coupled with the fact that she had to get up on time for school tomorrow.

‘’Bed so soon?’’ her mother asked.

‘’Yes mom. I’m exhausted.’’ Amanda said.

‘’Aww. Do take some rest honey.’’ her father said.

‘’Will do but first not without taking some ice cream.’’ she grinned.

She chuckled, making her way towards the kitchen. There was nothing like a bowl of ice cream before you slept.
