Chapter 22

At the school the next day, Amanda was prepared to ignore every one of Parker's or Ian's attempts to make her feel miserable. All she wanted to do was get by her day without bothering about anything that might happen.

‘’Hey babe.’’ Emily called.

Emily was the only one bold enough to shout in the hallway. The teachers had cautioned her several times but Emily never seemed to listen.

‘’Oh look at you. All shiny and beautiful. What’s your secret? Do you have a boyfriend now?’’ she grinned.
