At the close of school that day, i quickly grabbed my bag before rushing out of the class. I needed to get to Parker on time because the way he sounded earlier on the phone was anything but good.

‘’Hey! Slow down tiger.’’ Emily laughed.

I had also noticed that ever since we resumed from the mid-session break, she had been behaving strangely. I really don’t know what could have caused this because as far as i’m concerned, we never fought.

Nevertheless, i decided to give her some space. Maybe that was what she really wanted. But now, it seems she wants my attention.

‘’Where are you running off to?’’ she huffed.

Apparently, she had been running, trying to catch up with me and my long strides. With the small beads of sweat rolling down her face, i knew she had made an effort.

‘’Sorry babe.’’ I laughed.

There was a stricken look on her face as she tried to catch her breath. I could tell that she had been running for quite a while.

‘’Dang! You should be an athlete.’’ Emily laughed.
