Chapter 28

Parker

The next morning came bright and early but i just couldn’t feel myself going to school. I don’t know what was going on but i just felt weak and down. Heck! I couldn’t even lift my hand which was lieing helplessly beside me. It just seemed like there was a huge weight on my shoulder that continually dragged me down.

‘’Parker? Parker.’’ My mom called.

I answered faintly, too weak to do anything more than that. She walked into my room, a small frown on her face. There was no doubt that she was quite worried, seeing the look on my face. I knew that if i looked at the mirror, i would probably look awful.

‘’Hi Mom,’’ i smiled.

My smile must have come out very bad because in the next moment, she cringed, chuckling before walking closer to where i lay on my bed.

‘’You look terrible, what’s the problem?’’ she asked, feeling my temperature.

‘’Oww. That hurt.’’ i sighed.

‘’Oh my dear boy, it looks like you just caught a cold. You’re burning up, you really can’t go to school this way.’’ sh
