Chp 17 Pt 4 Twins Reunited

I am a bit scared that I might have killed Enzo. i didn’t think I’d ever have to take a life. We both stand still, watching blood pool on the ground from his injuries. We wait to see if he stirs but nothing happens. I finally shift back since Malayah is no longer able to mind link.

“Did I kill him?”

“I am not sure,” Malayah stutters. Enzo is still in wolf form but he is not moving, my heart races as I hear snarling outside. The battle has already started.

“We should go, I hear fighting outside.”

I see Malayah trying to hear what I do but I know without her wolf she can’t. We both jump at the sound of an explosion and I see the ceiling is about to collapse. I shift and throw myself on top of Malayah to protect her from the debris and put a force field around us as we are buried under dirt.

I look up and notice I have shifted, putting all my strength into the force field. Malayah is under me unconscious. I can clearly hear the battle as I try to shove the force field out
