Epilogue - Saying Goodbye

As soon as I see the pack house in view I collapse. Everything has gone dark. Did I die? Did I use too much power and kill myself? I feel like I should be cold as death takes over but what I feel is warmth and love. I look to my left and see a light. I really must’ve died if I am seeing the light. I look at my surrounds and all I see is darkness so I don’t have a choice and walk towards the light.

When my eyes adjust to the blinding light I see I am in a beautiful garden and by the water I see Malayah with her wolf, Leila, and my dragon, Terra. My eyes water at the site of her. If this is death and I get to be with her, then I welcome it.

“Malayah!?”

She turns to face me and smiles. I rush to her side and my body collides with hers as I embrace her. We are both crying as we hold each other, something I haven’t done in ages.

“I’m so sorry I didn’t listen to you Maliyah.”

“I’m sorry I didn’t go with you. I should’ve been there to protect you against him.”
