Kael’s pov

“I don’t even want to believe this would happen!” I said, loud as ever.

I paced around the room, rolling my hand into a fist.

I turned towards the wall and tried to hit it but Elias stopped me by holding my arm.

I needed to vent my anger somewhere!

“Don’t ruin my room’s wall,” Elias warned, his voice low and stern.

I yanked my arms from him.

“Stop acting like you can’t get it fixed in a few hours,” I retorted.

Elias sighed.

“Don’t you dare try to ruin my wall,” he warned again.

I backed off when I realized he was serious.

Why is he so mad at me?!

He should be fucking mad at that bitch who causes all of this.

“Why are you acting like this doesn’t concern you? I am sure you felt it yesterday, that girl is our mate!” I rattled, refusing to bottle my frustration.

“Tsk, if you are expecting a reaction from him then you must be delusional,” Ronan said to me, rolling his eyes.

“Is there a way to erase this memory? I get pissed off when I have flashbacks about it! I will never be connected to someone wretched,”

“How…”

“What if they find out at school? You know what that does to us? We become a laughing stock! We will be ridiculed!” I said, ruffling my hair. .

Several thoughts ran through my head.

Ronan groaned, letting out a deep breath.

“I don’t even want to imagine this. The girls are not going to like this at all,” He whispered in response.

Elias shrugged.

“She is our mate already, we have to think of the way forward,” He said.

“Let’s reject her once and for all!” I suggested.

It wasn't even a choice, it was a must!

I couldn't think of being linked to her for another day.

“Yes, I second that! That is the only reasonable solution,” Ronan asserted.

“Maybe we should tell Dad, after all he brought her into the house,” Elias suggested.

“Definitely not!” Ronan and I said simultaneously.

I was glad Ronan was on my side on this.

“Father is clearly going to side with her. Have you seen how he stares at her so lovingly whenever she passes by him?” I asked, not able to hide his spite.

Our father has never acted that way with us.

He was always tough with us and treated us like slaves, what was so different about her?

“I think that crap about him not being his biological daughter is false! He doesn’t want to confess his atrocities to us,” Ronan said, kissing his teeth in frustration.

None of these would have been happening if we had never crossed paths with that wretched girl.

It all started with our dad offering that scholarship to her! Our lives had completely turned for the worse.

“Still, I don’t suggest just rejecting her. That is a drastic decision,” Elias said.

He walked towards his table and poured himself a glass of wine. He settled on the sofa with a satisfied sigh.

“Drastic? You know what is drastic?”

“Being mated to her? You know how much I dislike her!”

I stopped and started pointing my finger at Elias.

“Thinking about it, you never got yourself involved physically with her. Do you have feelings for that skunk?” I asked Elias.

Elias almost choked on his wine. He gasped for air and tried to steady his breathing while his I just stared at him in disgust and anger.

“You are unbelievable! You should go get your head checked,” Elias said angrily.

“That is the only logical explanation, Elias! Why do you only watch whenever we played pranks on her?” I asked.

“Because I was uninterested,” Elias replied with a shrug.

I glared at him, rolling my eyes.

That was untrue.

Who wouldn't be interested?

“Something is really off about you and I don’t think I like it at all,” I told him.

Why were we even pondering about this wretched girl?

“She definitely performed some evil magic. How did she get our father to bring her here?! I mean, the excuse is so lame,” Ronan said.

I clicked his fingers. That explains it all.

“Evil magic, I think that is exactly what she is doing!”

That has to be it!

“We are definitely incompatible! I would rather spend my whole life without a mate than with her,” I said in spite.

No matter how I tried not to hate her, just mere thoughts about her infuriated me.

“There is no way Moon goddess would ever make us mates willingly, this is clearly her handiwork.”

Ronan suddenly smirked and made a cracking noise with his knuckles.

He sat beside Elias and placed his arms on his shoulder.

“I think I am going to side with you on this one,”

I furrowed my brows in confusion.

“What the hell are you saying? Are you even thinking properly?” I asked him.

“I knew I shouldn't have trusted you acting all smart,” I whispered.

Ronan chuckled, my frustration amusing him.

Elias turned to Ronan and shook his head slightly.

“I just know you are never up to any good,” he whispered.

Ronan snapped his fingers almost immediately.

“I am glad you know me well,”

“We definitely have to teach her a lesson before finally rejecting her. She can’t just play in our faces and go Scott free,” Ronan said.

I suddenly broke into an evil smirk.

“For a second I thought her witchcraft had made it to you,” I let out, laughing.

I poured myself a wine glass and stirred it with a smirk.

“Let’s see how she manages the torture that is about to befall her,” I whispered.

I turned to Elias and saw that he wasn't saying anything. Moreover, there was this look of not consenting to all of this.

Tsk! What was wrong with him?

“Are you in?” I asked Elias.

Ronan glared at me when I asked that.

“What type of ridiculous question is that? Of course, he is in, he has no choice.”

I erupted in laughter and shook hands with Ronan.

“Sometimes you amuse me by your smartness,” I said.

Ronan got on his feet and used his shoulders to slightly push me in an intimidating way.

“Sometimes? What’s that supposed to mean?” He asked.

I raised my brows and walked to the corner of the room to take Elias’s swords.

“You should grab yours. Let’s see how that mouth of yours runs in a duel,” I challenged him.

“Challenge accepted!” Ronan responded and rushed to get his own sword.

“Both of you, out of my room!” Elias raised his voice at us.

We both glared at Elias before walking out of the room.

“Something is off about him,” I whispered to Ronan as we walked along the corridor.

Ronan’s povThe door clicked shut behind her and I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. For a moment, I just stood and watched the door, trying to find answers to my questions I was too afraid to answer. My hands still tingled from where I had grabbed her arms. “You must be out of your senses,” I whispered to myself, trying to shake the sensation that I felt. What the hell was that?“Impossible,” I muttered, ruffling my hair while releasing another sigh. I had never lost control. Kael, Elias, and I had been trained since we were born to always maintain our composure. Not even when I heard vile things about my mother did I rattle, we were all built always to stay strong. But Liora….Something about her, I totally lost my senses. I even cracked jokes with her. I remembered the funny face that she made and a snort slipped out of my mouth. Dragging a hand through my hair, I paced around the room feeling conflicted. I remembered her dare, how her eyes blazed in ange

Liora’s pov“Get your hands off me!” I yelled at him, pushing him away even though it didn't make any difference. “Don’t tell me anything, I need to speak to her,” Ronan told his brothers. Kael shook his head like he was disappointed in me before walking away while Elias still waited behind. “Alone, Elias,” Ronan emphasized. His brother kissed his teeth angrily. “If you do anything silly, count me out of it,” he said before walking away. “Can you stop rough-handling me?” I asked, already pissed. Ronan left my arms and folded his arms. I also folded my arms and turned to look the other way. I needed to maintain in the top three of the class, or I would lose my scholarship. “Why will you pull such a stunt?”“You are such an attention-seeking b—”I raised my hands, stopping him before he completed the vile statement. “I dare you to call me su

Ronan’s povWhy was today so terrible?Today of all days, my father chose to force all of us to eat dinner together. I didn't want to be around her at the moment. I was pissed for now and needed time to strategize. Once I have a plan, I'll reach out to her and speak with her. For now, it was better for us to stay apart!I finally got to the dining area and saw that she was already sitting beside him. Why does she always act like a saint every goddamn time? Now I was sure my father would praise her for being the earliest. “Ohh they finally decided to grace us with their presence.” My father said sarcastically. I almost glared at Liora, she was the reason for all of this. “Good evening dad, we had to sort out some things,” Elias said casually and sat on his chair. We all circled him while he stared at us in acknowledgement. “Let’s eat then,” He said and we all started digging into the meal. Seeing so much food reminded me that I had not eaten all day. I could barely eat at the

Liora’s pov“Girl, you look so devastated,” Ava commented, chewing her fries. I picked up my phone and stared at myself in the camera app. “I don't look half of how devastated I am,” I retorted, clicking my tongue angrily. Ava snorted, trying to hide her laughter. “Just laugh if y….” She started laughing before I could finish my sentence. I threw my hands in the air with a frustrated sigh. “Really? Ava? You are to console me and tell me it is going to be fine, not laugh loudly at my predicament,” I told her, glaring at her slightly. “I can't help but laugh—”“You have this look on,” Ava said, and made the funniest look. I threw my fries at her. “What do I do?”“I don't even want to speak to him let alone plan our project together!” I whisper-yelled. “He didn't seem like he wanted to even be in the same class with me earlier. You saw how he spoke to the teacher? I just know this is going to be a one-of-a-kind hell ride,” I complained bitterly, suddenly losing my appetite. “

Ronan’s povEveryone stared at me in class after the teacher announced the names. “Why did I have to be the less fortunate one?”“Say something! Are you just going to take it?!” Sierra whispered to me, raising her brows in confusion. I turned to Kael and saw that he had a smirk on his face. “Bastard!” I cursed under my breath. I am sure he was happy he wasn't the scapegoat. I turned to look at Loria and saw that she was devastated by the news. The fuck? Why does she look more aggravated than I was?I was the one being paired with her, I should have had that expression on, not her!“I am sorry but I can't be paired with her!” I let out, getting on my feet. Our teacher stared at me in surprise. “Is there anything wrong, Mr Durban?” He asked. I almost rolled my eyes, please I just didn't want to be paired with her!I could take anyone else! Even her lousy friend but definitely not her. “Yes, I have a problem with my partner. I don't wanna be paired with her,” I said, going stra

That's the last people I wanted to be in the same space with. “Urhmm, definitely not,” I whispered, arranging my books in my bag. Cecile stopped and stared at me. “Do you have issues with the triplets? Are they the cause of your bruises? Why don't you at least speak up?” Cecile said, sighing in frustration. “Issues? Oh, come on, Cecile. That's the funniest thing I have heard from you. We are totally fine, as a matter of fact, we are very playful in school,”I flapped my hands, signalling for her to move closer to me. “We don't really speak in the pack house because they want everyone to see them like an adult. They are the next Alpha of the pack, they want that respect,” I lied. How did I get so good at lying?I hated that I was doing this but she kept pestering about the damn thing. She chuckled slightly and shook her head. “That is such a non-factor. I
