Chapter TwoLiora’s POVMy eyes widened. “Mate?”Alpha Alaric nods solemnly, digging into his pocket to pull out an envelope. I hesitantly took it from him, and I was stunned to see that in it was a photo of what seemed like a younger version of my mom in the arms of a man who I guessed was a younger version of him. I blinked once, then twice, unable to believe my eyes. But I couldn’t deny that the woman in the photo was my mother. Liora’s pov“You haven’t gotten out of bed since last night, are you sure you are fine Miss Loria?” Cecile asked. I nodded my head momentarily, not able to utter a word. She walked closer to me, still not believing me. “Can I touch you?” She asked, her voice quivering slightly. I sat up immediately and took her hands. “Why do you think I wouldn’t let you touch me? I don’t discriminate, Cecile, we are one,” I told her. There was a small smile that appeared on her lips when she heard that. I shook my head slightly. I could totally relate to how she felt. Life had been so unkind to people like us, we were treated like objects. Our feelings were completely disregarded. “What’s wrong? You didn’t even enjoy the party last night,”I scoffed.
