Hello, everyone author here, all I want to say is this is a slow-burn romance comprising of over different characters aside from our ML and FL so please don't just read two chapters and see the romance isn't in the air yet and decide to abandon the story because every character written in this story as they play a role in each other's lives.

Everyone wishes for a peaceful and happy family and the Swift family are no less, to keep his family safe and secure Charles moved them to a place far away from the city. His work is risky and involves a lot of danger.

His children See him as their hero and he never wants that to stop. They can never know what his work is no matter what for their safety.

As usual, whatever he does involves danger that's why he moved his family far away from the city center so no one can find them. He won't want them to pay because of his cause.

All he wants is to prove to the whole of the world how dangerous and harmful they take in every day. He wants to save the innocent youths and people these horrible people are destroying for the sake of being billionaires.

His family is innocent and they shouldn't have to pay the price of his duty. It's a responsibility he took and he will make sure to deliver it. Those horrible people will see their end and he will see to it. No matter how dangerous, he can't sit and watch as innocent lives get destroyed every day.

They care for no one as long as they make money and he will see to their downfall.

In this quiet neighborhood was a family of four in their simple house, far away from the rest of the houses. this is the Wilton family, in this house laughter could be heard all around the house. this laughter is of the two children of Flora and Charles, Anna and Leo. Anna is the eldest child of the two couples while Leo is a seven-year-old boy and the youngest. Anna and Leo were in the yard.

Anna was charting with her best friend Jen on the phone while Leo was playing football. Leo who was bored playing all alone himself decided to call his sister to join him, "Sis Anna come on let's play together please.'' Ana who was busy enjoying her chat with Jen had no other option but to say goodbye to her,

"OK am coming but let me just say goodbye to Jen first!" she shouted out loud to her brother.

Leo then replies to her while smiling, "OK be quick and by the way tell sis Jen, I said hi." her little brother said.

"OK Jen bye... we will talk later okay?... almost forgot he says hi too byeee."

Anna stood up and start walking towards Leo who was waiting for her with the ball in his hand, Leo started smiling and laughing ironically because of his sister's way of acting playfully like a drunken person while walking towards him.

She started laughing too when she reached Leo, and their laughter could be heard all around the Wilton family's house yard.

Anna ruffled her brother's hair, she always finds him cute whenever she does it. "...Stop it now already Sis and let's play, pretty please!"

She nodded her head to his words, but just as she was about to ask Leo to throw the ball at her, she heard a loud sound, she panicked and start calling her brother's name, "Leo! Leo! come let's go and check on mom and dad." Leo and she held each other's hands while leaving the garden.

After entering their house the scene they saw was a shocking one for them.

the two siblings saw their parents with their hands tied at the back of their heads with two men in black with guns in their hands pointing at them. while the other men were searching, God knows what in their simple house. Leo started crying and Anna didn't know what else to do except to cover his mouth with her hands.

The two seem to be talking to their colleagues and their Father grabs the opportunity to ask them to run away. Since her father asked them to run away, Anna knew right that moment that if she wants to save both Leo and herself, then she must obey him and run away because she knows he also wants to save them that's why he asked them to run away as well.

But how can she bear to leave them both like this, her father has a gun pointed at him as well as her mother too. Anna's tears know no bounds as she reluctantly held her brother's hand more tightly and turn to leave the house.

"Sis Ann, who are these people?" innocent Leo asked when he saw the men holding guns at their parents in their house.

Anna hurriedly covered Leo's mouth with her hands, "Shhshsh..."

"But sis Ann", Anna covered her brother's mouth once again, " Leo don't speak, let's get out of here first hmm?"

Little Leo was confused, why are they leaving their parents here then if both he and his sister are leaving the house? "But why are we leaving mommy and daddy here with these people?" he innocently asked his sister.

Anna timidly smiled at her brother, " I will tell you later but let's go outside first hmm!" Leo shakes his head at his sister's words.

"hmm, then"

Inside the House

Peter the head of the five men in black realizes that the two children of Charles and Flora were nowhere to be seen in the house, and orders Machu to go look for them.

"...Machu", peter shouts out and Machu who heard his boss quickly answered him, "Yes, boss!"

Machu moved forward to where his boss, "Bossman!"

Peter began completing what he wanted to say earlier. "Go and look for those two kids they must be..."

Just as Peter was about to finish giving Machu the order to go look for Anna and Leo, Charles interrupted him and said, "They are not in the house, you monsters will never find them and neither will I ever tell you guys were to either." because he knew they must have not checked the garden before entering inside the house. that's why they didn't know that Anna and Leo were there.

it was foolish by their side, and he is glad they didn't check the garden before coming into the house because thanks to that he was able to get his children to escape.

And that's why he must do his best to convince Peter that they are not anywhere in the house so that they can manage to run out of this house. Anna and Leo are both still in this house and haven't managed to leave the house yet. but his daughter is a smart one and he knows she will be able to escape with her brother.

That one, he knows Anna can do it. since he signaled for them to run, and he knows Anna understood his signal for them to run away earlier.

What Charles didn't know is that two of Peter's men are already guarding outside the house.

Peter didn't believe what Charles said, "What if you are lying to me right now to save them?" Charles looks up at Peter, "Am not lying to you, they are not in this house and you will never find them either. am glad I sent them away before you monsters all arrived because I know you will never let them be alive if you find them because I know your mission here is to make sure we are all dead." Charles said in other to make his words more convincing.

After Charles finished speaking, that he will never tell Peter the whereabouts of Leo and Anna, Gary one of Peter's men that were guarding outside came running into the house to let Peter know of the two kids, a boy and a girl that were outside just now saying, they are the school friends of the children of the man and his wife they are holding captive right now and that he sends them away by telling them the Wilton family moved out of this neighborhood. they are the new ones moving in that's why they all are here to check the house out.

Peter was fuming with anger after hearing what Gary said to him, he turned to face his incompetent colleague, and right there he shot both Charles, Flora, and Gary himself at the same time, just like a professional would shoot his target, without any mercy and he asks the other two that were inside the house with him to burn the whole house down quickly so they all can go and look for both the two kids before they go any distant.
