"Holy shit," Laura muttered, unable to finish her words as the sky unleashed its fury upon them.

The sudden downpour had caught Laura and Emily off guard, leaving them drenched within seconds.

"Come on, hurry before we catch a cold!" Emily, holding onto a stack of drenched books, exclaimed, her voice barely audible over the sound of the rain.

In a hurry, Emily and Laura both dashed towards the pub. Once on the porch, they attempted to dry themselves off as best as they could, but it was no use. Their clothes were soaked through, and water dripped from their hair like raindrops from a leaf.

Laura couldn't help but cringe at their appearance, which looked like wet puppies. Emily, however, found the situation amusing and let out a chuckle.

"What’s so funny, gingerhead?" Laura raised an eyebrow as she ran her fingers through her wet hair.

"It’s been a while since the last time I’ve been soaked by the heavy rain," Emily said, looking up at the seemingly angry, dark gray sky. "It feels good
