Emily looked up at the night sky and took a sigh. She was sitting on the stairs of the arena's double doors for almost an hour, guarding the entire place from possible attacks from their enemies.

Her mind was filled with worry. The pack was in horrible shape; the smoke and fires not far away from her indicated that the situation could be worsened more, and she had no idea to what extent this war would go further. She stared up blankly at the silver moon in the sky, hoping it would give her much strength to carry on with helping the remaining pack members and save Lucian. Wherever Nia's father was at the moment, may the Moon Goddess help him survive no matter what; he needed to stay alive for them.

'Scarlett is the root cause of all this mess. She has to pay for everything that she ruined, Em,' said Cassia through the mind link, seething with anger as the wolf snarled with its eyes glowing. 'If something happens to Nia's father, I swear I won't let it slide.'
