Ariadne POV, Two years later. . . "He isn't here yet. Wonder what might have kept him." I checked the screen of my phone for either a call or anything from my husband. Ariadne POV, The loud blast of the gun made my stomach revolt. The spicy scent of fear wafted from Chris as he jerked onto my waist. I look up to him, my mate. Ariadne POV, I immediately ran looking for a boulder to brush myself from his sight. What the heck was he doing here? I least expected to run into him, Oak Borough was a big city I believe and it meant the chances of running into someone were not high. He turned to leave.
