Kiara's POV

I heard a knock on my door. I ran to open it and saw a tall female. She had light brown hair, green eyes, just like the forest, and beautiful red lips.

"Hello, I'm Valentina! Nice to meet you. Vincent told me, you were a new guest, so I thought it would be nice to present myself." She smiled.

"Oh, hi! I'm Kiara." I shook her hand. She had red nail polish and very pale skin.

"I am Vincent's wife. I've been in your position. I know you feel awful, but they are not bad people. But I am here for you if you need anything."

She rubbed my shoulder and left the room. She looked like a very nice person.

I went downstairs to grab me some water and something to eat because I was starving. I saw a bowl full of fruit, so I got one apple. I sat on the wooden chair. The left wall was made out of glass, so you could see what was happening outside of the house because it was right in front of the gateway and the garage next to it. I saw a grey car parking, but soon my attention was gone, because of Ms. Betty.

"Hello, Ms. Davis, but Mr. Barton, wanted to tell you that the dinner is at 7 pm. The dressers put the dress, he wants you to wear in your bedroom." She smiled and I just nodded.

The old lady started to cook and I stood up to get ready. When I walked in the hallway, I saw Tom coming from somewhere.

"Why am I supposed to dress up with a dress for dinner? I don't want to be dressed like that." I said to him.

"Well, hello. I think you have already met Valentina. She always dresses like that for dinner to respect the money we give for those dresses." He looked at me with his dark eyes and his face became serious. I just nodded and started walking towards my room.

I went into the dressing room and saw the red, long, shiny, and probably very uncomfortable dress. I went in the bathroom and got a nice warm bath and then I got dressed. I put some makeup on and waited for time to go downstairs. Someone knocked on the door and I jumped out of the bed to open it. I saw Valentina standing there and waiting for me to come out.

"Hi, Ki. Come on, Vincent told me to come get you since it's our first dinner. You look incredible! Tom is gonna love it!" She smiled out of excitement.

"Don't even remind me about him!" I rolled my eyes.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room. We went downstairs, where Tom and Vincent were sitting at the table already, waiting for us.

Tom was in a grey suit with a white shirt and black shoes, he's muscles were tight in the coat, so I could see his big arms. Not that I cared about how he looked. I hated him.

"Good evening, ladies. Take a seat." Vincent said and raised his hand to the chairs in front of him. Valentina said in front of her husband and I had to sit next to Tom.

"Would you like to drink anything?" Tom asked and looked at the bottles of wine on the wall behind us.

"I want some white wine, please," I said, breaking the awkward eye contact. He stood up and grabbed a bottle. He opened it and poured some of it into the glass in front of me. I nodded, not even looking at him. The bottle looked very expensive, and the wine was amazingly good.

We began eating. It was so quiet that we could hear the sound of the forks. The whole house was so big and quiet, that everyone could hear the noises you make even while walking. Anger ran through my veins and I put my fork on the table.

"Okay, I'm sorry, but why the fuck am I here? How do you know my name?" I faced Tom's wrath gaze.

"Why are you so curious about it, Kiara." He replied.

"Well, I don't know. Maybe you should think about it. Let me help you! Yesterday I was in a café with my best friend and four mafia men came out of nowhere, pulled out a gun and shot some random man. After that, a big muscular guy came to me and took me here! Isn't that a big enough reason?"

"Just eat your damn food, please," Tom ordered calmly.

"No, Tom! I want to know!"

"I said enough!" He yelled and flinched. I looked at him with a misunderstanding and stood up from my seat. "Kiara, come back!"

I didn't even think of turning back. I was mad! They kidnapped me and now they didn't even want to give a reason about it. When I got to my room I removed all of my makeup, put on my pyjamas, and lay down on my bed. I was about to go to sleep, but someone knocked on my door. I opened it and it was Ms. Betty.

"Sorry to bother you, Kiara. Tom sent me to tell you that he wants you tomorrow at 1 pm in his office."

"Wasn't it forbidden to enter his office?" I asked confused.

"Not for you." He left the room, without giving me the chance to tell him, how much I hated his brother and that I didn't want ever to talk to him again.

But he got me thinking: with what was I that special for him to let me in his office? What were we going to talk about?

I laid back to my bed and fell asleep.

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 23

Kiara’s POV I woke up in the middle of the night with a weight in my chest I couldn’t explain. Like something was pressing down on me from the inside, like my body had been screaming at me in my sleep. My breath came in short, sharp bursts. I blinked into the dark room, trying to find something familiar—anything grounding. But the darkness didn’t soothe. It only deepened the feeling that someone was watching.I didn’t even check the time. I didn’t care. My bare feet hit the floor, cold against the tiles, and I pushed myself toward the bathroom as if sleep were something I’d never find again.I flipped the light on and stared at my reflection. My face looked pale, hollow even. The kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix. My eyes were darker, the circles underneath them bruised by too many nights like this.I turned the faucet on and let the cold water run over my hands before splashin

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 22

Tom's POV As soon as Kiara stormed off to her room, the door slamming shut behind her like a damn punctuation mark, I didn’t follow. I didn’t call out, didn’t flinch. Let her run. Let her slam every door in the house if that made her feel like she still had some control. The silence she left behind wasn’t new. It was familiar. Expected. Heavy, sure—but not unbearable. Not for me.I turned and walked toward my office, shutting the door behind me with a quiet finality. In here, things made sense. No unpredictable emotions, no sharp-tongued accusations. Just facts. Strategy. Power. The walls were lined with my weapons, my files, and the truth no one else could handle. In this space, I wasn’t a man fighting with a girl I couldn’t stay away from—I was what I was meant to be: in control.I dropped into my chair, already pulling out my phone before I hit the leather. My fingers moved on instinct, dialing before the thought even formed completely. Finn. I needed updates. Something was off, a

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 21

Kiara's POV I stepped into the house, the cool silence of the kitchen wrapping around me like a thick blanket. The glass of water I poured seemed to do little to ease the tightness in my chest, the unease gnawing at the edges of my thoughts. Why would Tom let his people do such a thing? The question circled in my mind, unanswered, as his actions played out repeatedly in my head. What was he trying to prove? He wanted me to be one of them—one of those soldiers, obedient and silent, trapped in his web of control. But I wasn’t one of them, and he knew that. His efforts to break me only pushed me farther away, showing me the kind of person he truly was—a man to be feared, not trusted. I couldn’t understand what he thought he could win, but I could feel the weight of his power pressing down on me, reminding me that in his world, submission was the only choice.I turned to put the cup of water back in the sink, but the moment I moved, I saw him—Tom—standing just inches away from me. His pr

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 20

Tom's POVAs soon as the clock struck two hours after I dropped Kiara off at her old apartment, a rush of urgency surged through me. I climbed into my car, the engine roaring to life, and pressed the accelerator, desperate to reach her. The thought of her wandering out there without me consumed my mind, igniting a wild mix of anger and anxiety within me. Although I had dispatched my bodyguards to keep an eye on her, I couldn’t shake the feeling of mistrust. I had learned the hard way that relying on others often led to disappointment. Life felt like an endless nightmare, indifferent to our struggles, relentlessly pushing and tearing us down. Yet amidst this chaos, I understood one crucial truth: I held the reins of my own destiny. It was within my power to tip the scales for better or worse. In the grand tapestry of existence, we’re faced with choices at every turn, and how we navigate those choices is entirely up to us. The weight of that realization settled on me - I was my saviour

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 19

Kiara's POVPhone rings''Yes?'' I said, putting on my red lipstick.''Hey, Ki. I've almost finished work, are you ready?"''Yes, I-'' Fuck, she doesn't know about this. ''I have to... I spilled coffee on my shirt, I have to pick a new one, I'll call you later.'' I couldn't tell her I no longer lived in this apartment on the phone. I hung up and grabbed my Birkin. As I made my way downstairs, I caught sight of Tom standing there, his gaze fixed on me with an intensity that made my heart race. His eyes sparkled with admiration, and I could sense a flicker of desire simmering beneath the surface. A warm rush of satisfaction washed over me; I had anticipated this reaction all along, which was precisely why I had chosen to dress in such an alluring way. The fabric hugged my curves, and with each step, I could feel the weight of his attention, a silent affirmation of my effect on him. I loved that.As I approached him, his look started to change into a more serious face. "You are not going

  • Fated To Love You   Chapter 18

Kiara's POVWhen I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was reach for my phone, and my thoughts were already on the day ahead. Without wasting a moment, I texted Lana, asking her when were and where we planning to meet, eager to finalize my plans.Within minutes, Lana replied, suggesting we meet at 3 p.m. in front of my apartment- well, my old apartment, to be exact. She said that she had some plans for the evening, so she wanted to see me earlier. Once we were together, she said, we could figure out where to go from there. It felt strange, knowing I'd be waiting in front of a place that used to be mine until Tom came into my life, but I pushed the thought aside and focused on our upcoming plans.I made my way to Tom's office, ready to update him on the schedule. As I reached his door I paused for a moment before knocking. After a few seconds, the door swung open, revealing Tom standing there, dressed casually yet still polished enough for a work setting. His eyes met mine, and
