FRIENDSHIP SHATTERED

The knocking started at dawn. Anna had barely slept, her eyes gritty, her pillow still damp from crying. She stumbled downstairs in yesterday's clothes, her heart hammering before she even reached the door.

Carly stood on the porch, her face pale and set like stone. No tears now. Just a cold, trembling rage that frightened Anna more than the screaming had.

"Carly!..."

"Don't." Carly's voice was flat, stripped of everything familiar. "Where is he?"

THE FACE IN THE SHADOWS"Anna!" Chris's voice sounded distant, muffled as if she were underwater. Her pulse thundered violently in her ears while fragments of the vision continued flashing through her mind. Around her were flames, screams, and pools of blood. With that face that stood out amidst the thick smoke."Anna, talk to me." Chris cupped her cheeks gently, forcing her gaze to focus on him. The concern in his golden eyes grounded her slightly. She inhaled sharply. "I.. I'm okay."Chris looked unconvinced. "You collapsed.""It was another vision." His expression immediately darkened. The word vision no longer sounded harmless not after

The weight of what had just happened hung heavily in the room.Anna stood frozen for several seconds before finally turning toward the gathered wolves.Their faces told her everything. She could see the fear, concern and uncertainty written over their faces. They were beginning to worry about their Alpha.Steve was the first to break the silence. "Meeting's over."His voice was firm enough to snap everyone back to reality. Slowly, the wolves began filing out.Tyler lingered near the doorway, guilt written plainly across his face.Anna noticed it immediately. "Tyler."He stopped. For a moment he looked like he wanted to run.Instead, he turned back. "I didn't mean for that to happen."Anna sighed quietly. "I know."His expression twisted. "No, you don't." He rubbed a hand over his face. "Every time I challenge him, things get worse."Anna remained silent because

THE BRAKING POINT The rain did not stop for three days. By the fourth morning, Blood Moon territory felt hollow and gloomy.Patrol wolves moved through camp like ghosts, exhausted and irritable. The once lively sounds of laughter and teasing had disappeared completely, replaced by whispers that died the moment Chris walked past.Anna noticed every single one, the bond forced her to.Fear lingered constantly now, pressing against her mind until her head throbbed almost endlessly. Distrust spread through the pack like infection, subtle but deadly. And Chris…Chris was unraveling slowly right in front of her. He barely slept anymore, barely ate. Every hour brought another patrol report, another security check, another argument in the council hall.He carried the weight of the entire pack alone even when people stood beside him.Anna found him before sunrise near the training grounds, shirt soaked with sweat despite the freezing air. He drove punch after punch into a wooden training post

WHEN FEAR BECOMES FANGSThunder rolled endlessly above the mountains while heavy rain battered the Blood Moon territory, turning pathways into rivers of mud. Wolves moved quickly between cabins with lowered heads, tension visible in every hurried step.Anna stood beneath the shelter outside the healer’s cabin watching patrol groups prepare for another sweep of the borders. Every face looked tired. Every conversation carried unease beneath it.The pack bond felt raw today, like a wound refusing to close.“You’re doing it again.”Anna glanced sideways as Carlyn, the older healer who’d practically adopted her since arriving, approached carrying bundles of herbs.“Doing what?”“Trying to carry everyone’s emotions by yourself.” Carlyn handed her a steaming cup. “Here drink.”Anna accepted it gratefully. “Is it obvious?”“To anyone with functioning eyes.”Despite herself, Anna smiled faintly.Carlyn’s expression softened as she studied her. “You’re a good Luna.”The words caught Anna off gu

Anna’s breath caught every time she saw it.His wolf towered over the others, enormous and silver-black skin gleamed beneath the moonlight, eyes glowing molten gold with pure Alpha fury. The sheer force radiating from him shook the clearing as he tore through Draven’s rogues with terrifying precision.A rogue lunged toward Anna from the shadows. Before she could react, Chris’s wolf slammed into him midair with a snarl so violent it echoed through the mountains. The rogue hit the grou
