Mira’s POV

There’s still something electric in the air, like the memory of us won’t quit. Stupid body still aches for him, even after everything. Pathetic, right?

I finally broke. “So, you wanted to see me.” My voice comes out small, way more vulnerable than I planned. “Is this your victory lap? Or are you here to say sorry for throwing me in the dungeon?”

He doesn’t blink. “Not here for apologies, Mira. This is about endings.”

That lands in my chest like a steel-toed boot. “Endings?”

“You’re being released,” he says. “Your father’s called for you. I’m sending you back to Dark Storm. I’m honoring his request.”

My jaw drops in shock. “You’re kicking me out?”

“Yeah.” He won’t even soften. Eyes locked on mine, flat as winter. “It’s the only way to stop a war. But before you go, we’re breaking the bond properly.”

Everything just… stalls.

I lurch a step closer, heart pounding. “You wouldn’t dare.”

He’s quiet, but steel. “I would. I have to.”

Now I’m laughing, but it’s ugly...it tastes like blood. “You think you can just snip that away? Like it’s nothing? Do you even get what that’ll do to us? The pain...”

He nods. “I know. I’ll take it.”

He’s so calm, I could slap him. How can he sit there, all calm, when he nearly died because of Elora?

“This is her fault, isn’t it?” My voice shakes, and it’s not anger, it’s rage. “Elora got in your head. You’re so easy, Dominic. You never saw her for what she is.”

His eyes flash. “Don’t say her name.”

“Oh, what, you embarrassed? Or is it because deep down, you believe her? You used to trust me, you know. Remember when you trusted me?”

He cuts me off, voice low and deadly. “I trusted you, until you tried to burn my pack to the ground.”

That one actually hurts. I freeze. Feels like the end, for real this time.

He calls out, doesn’t even look at me. “Elders. Now.”

So, next thing, we’re headed into the ritual chamber. Candles everywhere. Elders mutter as they paint these ancient runes on the floor.

Dominic and I get shoved to the middle, staring at each other. He’s barefoot, head down. I whisper, “You don’t have to do this. You’ll regret it.”

He doesn’t even twitch. “Maybe. But I can’t keep carrying this mess, mine and yours.”

The head Elder’s all grave and dramatic. “Once we start, there’s no going back. The pain is shared until the bond’s gone. You ready?”

Dominic nods. Me? I’m silent, but nobody waits for my answer.

Chanting starts, low and guttural, like something ancient waking up. My heart is beating fast as I feel I ease. There’s this silver thread, our bond stretching between us, pulsing like it’s alive. It looks beautiful. Too bad it’s about to get ripped apart.

The Elder’s voice drops, all official: “By the moon’s mercy and the blood’s truth, let what was forged in love be undone in sacrifice.”

And then pain.

Not just pain... soul-deep agony. Like somebody’s clawing at my insides. I scream, hit the floor, clutching at my chest. I can feel him, his pain, his heartbreak, his fury, bleeding right into me. Dominic is on his knees, sweating, gasping for air.

And just like that, the mate bond starts to break..

“Stop!” I shout, reaching for him, but it’s useless. “Gods, please, stop...”

The ritual just digs in harder. The thread between us blazes that feels like it’s chewing through my insides.

Dominic finally looks up at me. His face is filled with tears. He mouths something, too quiet for anybody but me.

“I’m sorry.”

And then...snap.

Everything goes dead quiet.

I hit the floor hard, gasping. My limbs won’t work. Every breath is a stranger. My chest’s just this empty pit. That invisible thread, the one that always told me where he was, what he felt, if he was safe, just gone. Yanked out by the root.

I can’t even cry. Not really. It’s like there’s nothing in me left to make tears with.

The chanting stops, candles put out. The Elders step back, faces all drawn and grave, like they’re at a funeral. Maybe they are.

Dominic’s on his knees, shaking hard. He meets my eyes for a second. Maybe he’s sorry, maybe he’s just empty, too. Doesn’t matter. He looks away.

That’s it.

The guards grab me. My body’s somewhere else. It was numb. I stumble, barely catching the wall as they drag me toward the door.

At the threshold, I stop. Something in me refuses to go quietly. I turn slowly and see Dominic standing, gripping the bedpost like he’ll fall without it. He looks wrecked, like he can’t decide if he wants to collapse or run.

I bare my teeth in a smile, something ugly and shaky.

“You’ll regret freeing me,” I say. My voice sounds wrong. Low, hollow, twisted up with venom. “Because you took the last thing I had to lose.”

He doesn’t say a word. But his hand twitches, just a bit. He still wants to reach for me, but he doesn’t.

The doors slam behind me.

Outside is colder than I remember.

The courtyard’s packed, warriors, servants, and Elders all staring. Some pity, some disgust. I spot Elora near the steps, guilt all over her face. Oh, now she shows up? Real convenient.

I stop, make sure she sees me. No need to say anything. She knows what she did.

The guards swing the main gates open. Beyond, the world yawns wide and grey, dawn just barely breaking. Waiting on the edge of those woods, a carriage with my father’s mark, the Dark Storm sigil.

I climb in, wheels crunch over gravel, pulling me away from everything I was.

Finally, I let myself breathe. The tears come, but it’s anger, not grief. I dig my nails into my palms.

Dominic thinks it’s over. He thinks snapping the bond means he’s free.

What a joke.

No bond means nothing left to hold me back. No leash. No weak spot.

I close my eyes, lean back as the carriage rattles toward Dark Storm. My father will want answers, he’ll press, he’ll threaten. Whatever. Doesn’t matter.

I already know what comes next.

Dominic’s about to find out what real regret tastes like.

Dominic’s POV I stared at Elora. She is the real Luna of this pack. She was always so ready to do things for the pack. She has gone through a lot for this pack. My mind rolled back to when we were little and she would always say things she would do for the promise she would become Luna. I always laughed, and to him, he rages and makes a great Luna. Although I never believed it then, I just said comfort to her. But look at her now... the only thing different here is that she is married to me instead of Dante. She loves Dante much more than she loves me, that I could tell, but the bond was stronger. I love her too, but my brother and I can possibly share her because of the love and the bond between the three of us. Elora would be our Luna, She would be both our wife, and Luna. This was the only thing I would do for my brother and her. I made my brother my Co Alpha so we can both be with Elora. The full moon climbed above us, old and bright, a silver coin tossed into midnight velv

Elora’s POVThey used to say peace came quietly. But honestly, it never crashed in like a battle or scorched like heartbreak. It just slipped in, soft as dawn, slow and gentle, so easy to miss until, one morning, you noticed the birds were singing again. The Crescent Moon was finally mending. The smoke stopped rising from the broken borders. Laughter started to echo where pain and crying used to fill the air, real laughter, the kind that wraps around you and promises things will get better. And me? I wasn’t sitting on a throne or standing next to any Alpha. I was right there in the middle of it all, with my people. Most mornings, I went to do my Luna duties. I help rebuild broken homes, paint houses, and make sure the children and adults are being treated well in the healer's chambers. I took care of nursing mothers and made sure there were enough supplies to last for the day. Nobody was left unattended. The young warriors still in training often trailed after me while I inspected the

Dante’s POVHaving Elora fully back was something that lifted a happy mood in me. Although I didn't like the fact that we both had to share her, and I am not sure how, there was nothing I could do. I only wanted her to live and that was enough for me. I didn't want to be greedy. When Dominic sank his fang into her neck, I felt something in me snap. It was like him touching something that was not his in the first place. But he is my brother and there was nothing I could do. He was the Alpha and Elora was his wife. Even if she were my mate, I couldn't possibly stop her husband from trying to save her life. After we were done reconnecting, I left for my room to freshen up and catch a little sleep that I've been missing for quite some days. I was sure Elora was fully recovered now and would not slip in and out of consciousness anymore. Immediately, my head hit the bed after my cold shower, and I drifted off to sleep. Tomorrow was going to be a long day, and I needed to be clear-headed

  • Fated To One, In Love With The Alpha Twins   Chapter 136

Elora’s POV I stared at the empty space within me with the moon goddess's voice echoing around me. She seemed to be humming a song. Everywhere felt so peaceful and I wished I could stay here for a little while. Back in the real world, I didn't want to take part in a lot of evil. I felt a sudden jerk and jumped."What is that?" I asked the moon goddess."You are being called back to life. It looks like your time with me has ended," She said, her voice soft."But I don't want to go just yet. At least not until everything is settled between the two brothers," I argued."Elora. This isn't about you. Your devotion to the pack is what has kept the brothers alive. If you don't go back to them, I'm afraid of the outcome," I shook my head violently. This isn't happening"Then at least tell me who I am going to choose," I pleaded."They are both yours..."Before I could make out what she had meant, I felt my body being pulled back as I tried to resist. When I opened my eyes, the air felt of

Dominic’s POVElora’s breathing was shallow. Each breath she took gave me a scare. It felt like forever, and my heart raced so hard. Her skin was really pale, and the mark Dante left was disappearing fast.“No,” Dante choked out, shaking her. “No, no, stay with me—Elora, please!”The healer’s hands trembled over her herbs and glowing bottles. She couldn’t pick one, couldn’t commit. Her voice cracked. “Her energy’s fading… her spirit’s slipping!” Her eyes darted to me, wide and scared. “If one bond won’t hold, let it pass through both. Bite her, Alpha.”I froze.Me? Bite her?I looked down. Elora’s lips parted, her face too still. I forced myself to breathe and met Dante’s eyes. He looked as if he would snap. “Don’t touch her,” he snapped. “She’s mine.”The healer’s voice cut through everything, sharp and furious. “You fool! If she dies, she’s no one’s!”Dante’s jaw clenched. That anger washed away, replaced by fear. His eyes flicked to mine. He swallowed, then nodded, slow and stiff

  • Fated To One, In Love With The Alpha Twins   Chapter 134

Elora’s POVMy chest squeezes up tight, first that low, annoying ache, then bam, it’s like a fist yanks the air right out of my lungs. I open my mouth to say I’m fine, but nope, the words just... melt. The room spins and goes all watercolor blurry.“Elora?” Dante’s voice, all echoey and weird, comes at me from somewhere underwater. Then the universe just flips sideways. The floor's gone. I’m weightless, but someone’s arms are strong; catch me before I faceplant. My head lolls back. I hear Dominic yelling for the healer, but his voice is just noise, buried under this ringing that’s taken over my brain.“Elora, look at me!” Dante’s voice cracks, desperate. He grabs for my wrist, checking for a pulse. I catch a glimpse of his eyes, those ridiculous golden eyes that always made me feel safe, they’re wide with panic now.“I can’t... she’s not...” the healer stammers, and honestly, that’s not what you want to hear right now.Everything dissolves into chaos. Hands everywhere, pressing cold c
