CHAPTER FORTY-SIX - THE MEAL

I had already finished packing my things, and I stayed here in this bed for a good few hours, looking at the ceiling. It must have been mid-afternoon and the silence in the house was thunderous. Stanley had left after what happened, so at some point I got up and walked out of the room for a bit.

Maybe it would be good to go for a run to cool off.

I went down the hall, onto the porch, and took off my clothes. I noticed that my breasts were less tender than yesterday, which showed that the heat was really ending. And that was incredible news. Everything would go back to normal and I would know how to decide what was really right. So I hoped.

I put my clothes on top of the chair and transformed, running out and into the forest.

My wolf's pain seemed greater. As usual, she handled things in a much more sensitive way. The animal side itself is much more sensitive. I was still worried about what had happened. With what I had done and especially with how Stanley must be feeling. After
