It was silent when I woke up, I remember waking up a few times to distant noises, Linda's perplexed voice echoing around the bright room. I slowly sat up on the bed, my eyes immediately moving to the window, it was dark outside. I had no idea what time it was, but I know it's really late, especially with the fact it was really silent outside.

I wanted to stand up from the bed when I felt a hand on my lap.

Linda? She was asleep while sitting on the chair. I gently held her hand, putting it on the bed. I climbed down the bed but winced, stopping immediately when I felt sharp pains around the middle of my legs and waist. Then I remembered why I was brought here in the first place.
