CHAPTER NINETEEN - IN THE HOUSE OF THE LONELY

The bus ride to Elija's territory took us a few hours. And during those hours, Liphe was the most annoying person ever. She kept asking me about things, how I met James, how I was saved, how I ended up in Stanley's house and among other things that I felt compelled to tell. He listened to me attentively and my stories seemed to at least kill his boredom. And when we were arriving, I felt a giant relief. Both for having stopped talking and for having vented a little.

We got off the bus and it was the first time I was stepping into Elija's territory.

"Amelia..." He whispered as we walked. laugh and look around.

"Okay, leave it." I sighed. It was snowing again. "But I think Elija's wolves are pretty well hidden now. If we're stopped, which we won't be long, they'll be lonely.

The city was big, wooded and people walked calmly through the streets completely oblivious to what was happening in that territory. It was too beautiful a city for James not to care that much. I keep thinking
