Chapter 16 : Comfort In His Touch

“Yes, but you’re not supposed to call me by my name! Just to be clear, Lycan. You’re not best friend approved! Unless of course, you’d be a wolf.”

Well, that was what Jade told Conrad over an hour ago. But Conrad was such a smooth talker that he managed to get into her good side. It only even lasted thirty minutes. After a conversation, in which Conrad wasn’t even trying hard to prolong, Jade switched side.

Now, she somewhere in the dancefloor.

“Are you sure she’s going to be okay?”

The corner of Conrad’s lips rose up. “She’s strong, Avalynn. If anything, I’m afraid that she might go bersekf if a man was to show interest on her.”

I continued to lean on the railing as I looked down on the wolves dancing below. We were in the Easter’s Pack territory. But shockingly enough, Conrad happened to know a wolf that belonged here. He said they were best of friends, and that he often go here whenever he wanted to have fun.

It wasn’t a common connection. I’ve never know one who accept Lycan
