Ashley’s P.O.V.

Even after leaving the hospital, Vincenzo’s words clung to me like iron chains. The anger in his voice, the raw command in his tone, sank into my bones, weighing heavily on me.

I wanted to tell him that Grayson was just a friend, nothing else, but his rage didn’t let me argue. I kept quiet and held my baby close to my chest, planning to talk to Vincenzo after reaching home. Perhaps he would understand my point after calming down.

I thought that we were heading towards home, but the car slowed and turned unexpectedly, confusing me. I frowned and asked Gamma Carson, who was in the driver's seat.

“Carson, why did you take the wrong turn? This isn’t the way to the Anderson mansion.”

But Gamma Carson didn’t meet my gaze in the rearview mirror. His expressions were serious as he replied.

“It’s not a mistake, Luna. Luna Rose has ordered me to bring you and young Alpha directly to the temple.”

“The temple?” I questioned him at once.

“But why?”

Carson replied in a respectful

Ashley’s P.O.V.My breath froze in my chest as the vision blurred into a sharper detail, every second a dagger sinking deep into my heart. Cassidy leaned over Vincenzo, her fingers sliding over the plains of his chest with a sickening familiarity. Her smile was venomous as she whispered.“You may have chosen Ashley. But in reality, I am your Luna, Vin. Only I love you truly.”My stomach churned at her audacity. I wanted to look away but couldn’t, just like that night. The magical screen flickered, showing the repeat telecast of my nightmare. In the vision, Vincenzo groaned faintly, drunk and oblivious, his head lolling as Cassidy pressed her lips on his. She then shifted, pressing harder, twisting the scene into something damning. With practiced deceit, she pulled his shirt off, her own nightgown slipping to the floor like a discarded mask. Then, with precision, she dragged the quilt from the couch and covered both of them, hiding her manipulation under the folds of the fabric.Cass

Ashley’s P.O.V.A few weeks ago, if someone asked me to wait for an hour, it would be easy peasy lemon squeezy for me. But tonight, it was different. The mere sixty minutes felt like centuries. It had certainly become stressy, messy, lemon zesty now. I sat in the living hall with Vincenzo, Luna Rose, and Sienna, and a teacup warming my hands, though I hadn't taken more than a sip. The faint grassy aroma of Luna Rose’s herbal tea drifted through the air, a tradition she kept faithfully no matter the circumstances. She lifted her cup, a calm grace that I envied. “We are grateful you came here on such short notice, Sienna. Your help means more than you know.”Sienna folded her hands in her lap, a serene smile tugging at her lips.“The pleasure is mine. It’s my honor to maintain bonds with the packs that still listen to their elders, Luna Rose.”Her words flowed like honey, but the undertone stung. My chest tightened as her subtle taunt didn’t go unnoticed. Sienna was undoubtedly pointi

Ashley’s P.O.V.I lay still in the bed, my mind a restless storm despite the steady hum of machines. Dr. Alex’s advice still echoed faintly, but it was Luna’s Rose firm tone that lingered the most.“Call a witch.”I almost chuckled aloud. All my life, I had trusted books, science, and logic. I was a student who always thrived on reasoning, not fairy tales. Many wolves clung to those beliefs, rituals, charms, and magic as explanations for the inexplicable. But I always found it absurd. Things didn’t just happen. There was always a cause, a trigger, or a reason we could uncover it if we looked hard enough. Despite my reservations, I agreed to Luna’s request, only because of her late husband. His death was indeed a mystery no one could ever fully reveal. He was just gone, and no science had still answered why.Although I had prepared myself for witchy drama, my brain clung to the logic, outlining the next topic of my research.“Heart attacks in young werewolves!”It was rare, but not im

Ashley’s P.O.V. “Enzley!” This name slipped from my lips before I fully woke up. My throat burned, and I felt my muscles rigid. However, the memory of my baby slipping into the darkness clawed me out of whatever haze I was in. The scene I had seen just before jumping after him replayed in my head as I fought to open my eyes, every blink pulling me out of that nightmare. Panic roared inside me, tightening my chest as the urge to protect my son overpowered everything else in the world. “My baby!” I jolted upright, my arms reaching out as if I could still catch him. The world swirled around me for a moment, making me feel dizzy. But when my vision steadied, I wasn’t in the void of darkness anymore. Instead, blinding white light welcomed me as I blinked rapidly, looking around. Vincenzo's worried face appeared before my sight, breaking through the bounds of my self-restraint. “Vincenzo!” I gasped, clutching his hand tightly as if my life was only dependent on him. “Where is E

Vincenzo’s P.O.V.“No!”A growl escaped my mouth, my inhuman voice bellowing into the night. “Ashley! Stop!”The sound shattered from my chest, but it was too late. I saw her body disappear into the darkness below, swallowed by the abyss. My world cracked open, and I dove after her, desperate to catch her in the air. The wind roared in my ears, and then at the least possible heartbeat, my hands closed around her, cold, limp, and slipping away from me like water. “Ashley!”I shouted at the top of my lungs, my voice breaking. My other hand clawed at the jagged cliff side until my fingers found a support, my body dangling over the abyss. “Hold on, Ashley. I will save you. Just hold my hand tightly.”However, she didn’t even answer. Her hand lay lifeless in mine, no grip, no fight. My pulse hammered in terror to shake her awake. Even my wolf begged her. “Come on, Kitten. Answer me.”Every muscle screamed as I held her with one arm and myself with another, sweat and blood making every
