Chapter 71

Alessia's pov

I must have zoned out again. Fingers snapped in my face, undoubtedly belonging to Ophelia.

“What again?’’ She whined, taking a seat beside me on the wooden bench.

“I keep getting this weird feeling, like something isn't right. And it's not always a flop each time I feel like this.’’ I expressed my sincere thought.

I could no longer hide it. My heart panicked for some reason, and my mind had refused to leave home.

Did something go wrong? Are the kids fine? Those questions persisted in my mind all morning.

“Why did you refused to go and see the Alpha?’’ Ophelia questioned suddenly, taking me by a bit of surprise.

“I-I mean….is it so important that I see him?’’

“Yes it is. But I need to know how important your reason might be first.’’ She answered, throwing such an intense stare at me like I was some criminal in disguise.

“Thompson. I'm sure he's been searching for me already. He might eventually find me if his inquiries reaches your Alpha.’’ I lifted my g

Chapter 103Alessia's POV A silent groan flew off my lips for the hundredth time in the past few minutes my eyes came open. “You will be fine.’’ Aloha consoled. Oh and for the records, every single time of those hundredth times a groan left me, a word of consolation followed from Aloha. That was new.My body system seemed to have been reset. Or maybe it was a result of my ‘lie in state’ condition for so long, my hearing sense seemed to have gotten so intense to the point I heard Aloha's breath as it fanned out of her nostrils. “How long have I been laid here?’’ I inquired, my voice barely above whispers. “A week and three days. Would have marked three days today.’’ She smiled, not sparing a glance off my skin as she applied the stuff she called a ‘cleansing oil’.“You mean my skin looked worse than this?’’ I asked in disbelief, running my eyes on the visible parts of my skin my gaze could cover. “The oil is effective enough. In a matter of one more week we should have your flawl

Chapter 102ELIZA'S povI'd never been so tensed! For a split moment, I regretted giving in to the sick chances of Thompson's plan. I had said too much. I grew impatient with how awol our conversation had been, drifting more and more farther away from where I needed it to head. But it seemed I'd gone too overboard. I let my anxiousness and impatience put me in a more dangerous spot. “What's that you said?’’ ‘‘Just some piece of information I thought I should leak to you.’’ I shrugged, eyes fixed above his gaze with my heart like a ticking dynamite. ‘‘Do you even realise the gravity of what you just said?’’ He wasn't having it lightly. It was no longer a case study. Indeed I'd bitten too much. ‘‘I wasn't the one who made it up, it is…..’’“My king!’’ A man rushed in, swatting a glance my way with urgency in his eyes. He lowered himself to whisper some words in the Lycan king's ear and I almost fell off my seat when the lycan stood up immediately.‘‘What?’’ He sprinted out. “Yo

Chapter 101Cyril's PovThe dominating silence allowed us solace to digest the news Aloha had just passed on. With my face buried in the warmth of my palms and my heart pulsing abnormally, all I could think about was the complicated part of Aloha's report. “There's still hope. As long as she is alive.’’ Aloha said, trying to brighten the mood. “I believe so too. She has been able to transform already and that is all that really matters…..’’ “Transformation without motion is as hideous!’’ I snapped. “That is simply because of the transfusion. Give it a rest until tomorrow, by tomorrow she should do better.’’ Alfred suggested. “Oh right! Her body had barely adjusted when her transformation pushed through, that must have been the reason her wolf failed to move.’’ Aloha agreed. “Excuse me.’’ Lance rushed in, trailing his gaze to meet mine. “There is a call from Mr Weverse, it seems he's at the mansion right now.’’ He reported. ****“What in hell…’’ I muttered under my breath, sizi

Chapter 100CYRIL'S povI could understand how no one was deeply affected by Alessia's immobile condition over the past week since the ritual took place— after all, the ritual's been a success and there wasn't any transformations the past two full moon nights. But I'd appreciate it if they at least allowed me the space to get through it my own way. “You feel better now?’’ Lance queried, glancing through the rearview mirror as he drove. “Are there anything else on my schedule?’’ I ignored him.“Nope. That meeting was the last activity for today, which was why I suggested you left it.’’ He answered. I let silence dominate the air. Resting into my seat with my eyes shut. ‘‘Permit me to ask you this, my king.’’ Lance spoke. That didn't earn a bulge from me though. ‘‘Of myself and Alan, who would you prefer to be the appointed one who'd remain by your side and also couch the young heir through his teenage years?’’ My eyes were forced open to meet his expectant gaze on me through the

Chapter 99CYRIL’S pov“Why the hell did they let that scumbag in!’’ I stomped a fist against the car door. Forcing alam to cast a glance at me through the rearview mirror. ‘‘You've gotta calm down now. We're on the highway and you keep startling me, you know where that could lead us right?’’“What in hell could Alessia have told him, and just how much!’’ I pondered aloud, restless. “There is possibility that Alessia didn't tell him shit and he's just a douchebag….’’“Her maid should have that information, do you think?’’ I cut in. Desperate was the right word to fit in my countenance.“Uh…well. Unfortunately she's currently off duties. Besides if she knew something, you don't think she'd have reported to us?’’“Thompson mentioned about the rituals.’’ I asserted, unconvinced, so many thoughts running through my head in one crazy surge. ‘‘Pull over.’’ I demanded. ‘‘What?’’“Stop the car.’’ I said again. “Here? We're… literally in the middle of nowhere.’’ Alan chuckled unbelievably

  • Fated for the Lycan   SORTING TICKETS

Chapter 98Thompson's POVI must not blow this up. I'll do everything possible to find out what that dreadful secret he covers entails, and it'll be my ticket to have him do my bidding. Nothing pleasured me the most than his speechless expression, even though he did great masking his original emotion and reacting less to my tantrum. “Why do you stare at me like that? I want replies!’’ I snapped, getting disconcerted by his silent squinting gaze. “It'll be better you get him out of here, Crestwood. I have no explantation to do to neither of you, or anybody else in the world.’’ He stated blankly, unfazed, turning and resuming out of the room.“What the hell was that?’’ I couldn't belive my world. “Goodness!’’ Crestwood spat in disappointment. “I mean, did he take me for a joke or something?’’ “Why were you being all buzzed up? We could have gone about it a better way!’’ Crestwood scolded. ‘‘What other way? He has Alessia probably locked up somewhere in the goddess knows what stat
