Imprisoned

Camille POV

There was nothing else to explain because the cops refused to believe that I harmed Axel. Two of them interrogated me as if I was a hardened criminal and they refused to remove the cuff in my hand thinking I would hurt somebody else. 

"Listen," I took a deep breath as I explained myself to them. "I didn't harm him. I saw him getting attacked in the elevator and I rushed to save him." I told them for the umpteenth time. 

"You mean you have other accomplices?" The first cop, a man with a big scar on his forehead and crooked teeth that made his breath stinks questioned. "How dare you lie?" He slammed his hand on the table causing my chest to rise in fright. 

"I am not lying," I held my chest and heaved a sigh of relief when I realized he wasn't planning on hitting me. "I mean it when I say that I have no hand In Axel's case."
