My words stunned the rogue Alpha and his followers as I knew they would. But that was at first because their Alpha soon recovered and started laughing and his followers joined in the merriment.

'Stop acting tough little girl and come with me so I can pop your cherry, if it isn't popped already or give you a great time', he said. 'You shall enjoy it so much that you shall be begging me for more with your legs spread widely apart!'

'I think I'll pass!' I answered and gave him a slap in quick succession on each cheek and a powerful kick that threw him more than six feet away from where I was standing. This stunned them all at first and they hesitated, not knowing if they should retaliate or not. Their Alpha had just punished Alice for interfering, and they must have thought he would feel slighted if they attacked me. I watched them, not wanting to take the initiative, half hoping they would just give up and go away, so there would be no further facing off but they must have felt it would be too humiliating going away without at teaching me a lesson. So, as though in silent agreement, after exchanging meaningful glances, they closed in on me as the voice of their Alpha rang out, simultaneously with the advance, 'Teach her a lesson you fools, what are you waiting for?'

The command spurred them on but I read their intent correctly, so, before they could pounce on me, I attacked, knocking them down. I flew and kicked one and his fall, pushed down two of his fellow with him. They must have been shock to find themselves fighting a strong warrior and not a weak Omega as they had anticipated. .

'Who are you?' one of them asked in shock.

I looked at their Alpha who was now standing and staring at me with grudging admiration.

'You do not deserve to know!' I answered, as I flipped my legs, hitting one while grabbing another and putting him in front of me, to dodge the punch of yet another and the person throwing the punch found his hand connecting with the stomach of his comrade, and before he could recover from the surprise, I threw the recipient of the punch away, while clawing the punch thrower and hitting him on the back behind his head and this sent him rolling far away from me. The four people remaining started moving backwards, unsure what to do and how to go about handling this fierce she wolf who seemed unable to control her powers and at the same time afraid of antagonizing their Alpha. The thought nearly brought a smile to my face but for the seriousness of the situation.

Alpha Dick saw all this and didn't want to lose face, so he howled, 'You want to play hard game, wrench? I was going to gently coax you into spreading your legs for me and make you mine alone but now, you are not fit to be my toy!' he ranted. 'I shall devour you as you seem to prefer and afterwards, allow every male in my pack to have their way with you and then leave your used up body for the vultures to devour'.

His voice sounded so terribly furious that I saw his followers trembling. They moved back so that he could be at the forefront. Cowards! I thought in amusement and then focused my attention of the jerk Alpha.

'I'd like to see you do that', I said in a very cool voice, allowing a smile I hope was infuriating to slip into my face. My intention to get him furious was a success because he charged towards me. But I was expecting that. Before he could reach me in his mad rage, I surprised him by flying towards him and hit him with both hands, spear - like at the back of his head, causing him to fall flat and his members, both those who had been incapacitated and the others who hadn't, gasped looking at their Alpha in shock and at me in awe, like I was some wonder woman. I assumed no one had ever defeated their Alpha before or beat him thoroughly. That would explain why he was so arrogant and disrespectful to the female flock.

'Are you the masked Alpha?' he asked as he tactfully got close to me.

Oh no! I thought in dismay. I have exposed my identity. There was nothing to do but to make sure I killed him so that he would not expose me, except there was another way out because I just didn't want to kill, not unless it was totally unavoidable and completely necessary. But while I was distracted by his question, he threw me a deadly punch. It hit me square on the chest knocking me down. I was going to quickly get to my feet and retaliate when another thought occurred to me. Why not pretend to be defeated and dispel his suspicion of my identity. The masked Alpha couldn't be knock out by that punch no matter how deadly. 'But what if he carries me away to his pack, how do I escape? I thought. Then I will have no option but to reveal my identity to much more people. In addition to the fact that my mission will have failed. What to do, oh great Moon Goddess?' I prayed silently.

My sharp hearing sense detected movement in the bushes and thought Oh, not now! Then I thought, why not? And started screaming. 'Please spare me. I shall be your servant but please spare me! '

Alpha Dick was surprised at my sudden surrender but glad that he had saved face. I could read him like a book. He looked at his people, laughing triumphantly and saw them smile in relief and then joined him in laughing at me - the wrench who was not so strong after all and had surrendered before a superior power.

'Not acting so tough now, are we? ' he mocked. His people laughed louder, happy that their Alpha had defeated the strong wrench. It worked for me, since I wanted to dispel their suspicion of my identity.

He kicked me hard and I screamed fiercely in anguish as I heard the footstep running towards us 'Please save me, someone!'

Alpha Dick fell on me and started unzippening his trousers, yanking my dress up, in readiness to take me there and then in full view of his people to redeam his image. I could easily have thrown him off but all I had endured to dispel his suspicion that I might be the Masked Alpha would have all been in vain. I was wondering when the person I was waiting for, the one whose footsteps was running towards us, would get to us, when something flew at the rogue Alpha who was astride me, yanking him away from me and flinging him away with such force that he was stunned where he landed.

'Scram, you all, or you will not know what hit you', the new comer howled and they all ran.

Alpha Dick stood with pain, 'Who are you?' he asked, addressing my rescue.

'I am Beta Troy. And my Alpha is on his way. You don't want him to meet you here, do you?' So he was a Beta? I thought admiringly, not that it would have mattered who he was. He could be an Omega of the lowest rank for all I care. I just wanted to complete my mission.

Alpha Dick knew he was not in a condition to war with any Alpha, so he leapt away, saying in a deadly voice, 'This isn't over. I shall make sure you pay for humiliating me today, you both!'

Years passed, yet the memory of that night—the ridge bathed in lightning, fire, and blood—never left the pack. But scars became stories, and stories became legends. And from legends, a new era was born. The Blackpine and Twilight lands were one now, their borders erased not by war but by unity. The Alpha holds had been rebuilt into a single great citadel of stone and glass, rising above the forest like a crown. Banners of gold and silver fluttered in the wind: fire for Arden and Selene, storm for Lyra and Eric, the wolf emblem at the center binding them all.Children’s laughter filled the clearing outside the citadel. Pups—gold-eyed, storm-touched, phantom-shrouded—raced along the terrace, their energy carrying the legacy of their parents. Arden stood at the balcony, his broad frame silhouetted by the sun, watching as his daughter tackled Eric’s young son into the grass.“Aria is just like you,” Eric chuckled, stepping beside him. His hair had silvered slightly at the temples, but his

The ridge was still scented with wildflowers and smoke from the wedding fires when the first scream split the night.Arden’s head snapped up from where he and Selene had been speaking with the elders. His wolf surged, claws pricking beneath his skin. Lyra, on the opposite side of the clearing, went rigid, her hand gripping Eric’s arm like iron. The joyous hum of pack celebration fractured into chaos. Shadows crept at the edges of the torches, stretching unnaturally long, swallowing the light.“He’s here,” Selene whispered, her voice raw with dread. “Alaric.”The ridge erupted. From the tree line, wolves cloaked in blood sigils burst forth—Alaric’s cult, bodies marked with black runes, eyes glazed with crimson rage. Their howls were distorted, broken, as if their very souls had been warped. At their head strode Alaric himself, gaunt and wild-eyed, his body streaked with crimson paint. He carried no weapon, only the pulsing mark on his chest: a curse that writhed like living flame.“Chi

The entire forest seemed to glow that morning. Gold and silver banners rippled in the breeze, each stitched with the intertwined sigils of Blackpine, Twilight, and Phantom—once rival houses, now bound together. Wolves padded through the clearings dressed in ceremonial garb, their fur brushed with streaks of ochre and ash, symbols of loyalty and rebirth. The clearing at the base of the Ridge had been transformed into a sanctum. Arches of pine boughs lined the path, woven with wildflowers and touched by streaks of firelight from enchanted lanterns. A dais stood at the center, carved from the very rock of the ridge, layered with symbols of the Alpha line.It was here, before pack, family, and moon, that two heirs would seal not only their mates but their legacies.Lyra stood inside the Alpha hold, her reflection framed in a mirror edged with wolfsteel. The dress Daisy had sewn for her shimmered with threads of storm-grey and gold, hugging her body like a second skin before flowing into a

The world was quieter than it had been in months. No clash of steel. No desperate cries in the dark. Only the soft hum of bonds that had finally, irrevocably, been sealed.Arden sat on the stone steps outside the Alpha hold, bare chest glistening with sweat, Selene wrapped in a blanket against him. Her dark hair spilled across his shoulder, her breath steady, her body still trembling from the night they had shared. His wolf purred, satisfied in a way it had never been before. For years, he’d been restless, searching for something unnamed. Now, with Selene’s bond woven into him, the fire inside burned steady instead of wild.“You keep staring at me like I’ll disappear,” Selene murmured, her voice muffled against his skin.Arden’s jaw tightened. He pulled her closer, his hand splayed across her spine. “Because part of me still believes you might. That you’ll wake, remember what you ran from, and vanish before I can stop you.”Selene lifted her head, her eyes steady. “I didn’t run becaus

The war room had long since emptied, its maps scattered across the oak table, candles burned low into pools of wax. Lyra lingered, her fingers brushing the jagged edges of parchment, her mind heavy with strategy, loss, and the storm of doubt the council had seeded in her earlier. She carried herself like a Luna already, but inside she was still the girl who wondered if she’d ever be enough. The door creaked open, soft but deliberate. Eric stepped inside, his presence filling the space without needing words. He didn’t wear the Phantom Pack’s signature cloak tonight—just a simple black shirt clinging to broad shoulders, sleeves rolled to his forearms. His grey eyes watched her in silence, patient as ever, the ghost of a smile at the corner of his lips.“You should rest,” he said finally, voice low, roughened by restraint. “The war won’t end tonight. Neither will your doubts.”Lyra’s lips curved faintly, though her chest ached. “You sound like my father.”Eric tilted his head. “I’m not y

The storm had broken outside, rattling the windows of Blackpine’s old guest wing. Lightning painted the ceiling silver, thunder echoing like a heartbeat too close to the chest. Inside, Arden stood by the window, every muscle rigid, as though keeping himself upright was the only thing anchoring him. His wolf prowled under his skin, restless, demanding what his mind still tried to deny.Behind him, Selene leaned against the doorframe, her dark hair a wet tumble down her shoulders from the rain. She hadn’t asked permission to enter his room—mates didn’t need to. Still, the air between them vibrated with tension, as sharp as the crack of thunder.“You’ve avoided me for two days,” she said, voice low but steady. “You look at me like I’m the danger, Arden. Like I’m another shadow sent to break you.”Arden didn’t turn. His fists flexed at his sides, claws threatening to burst free. “Because you are.” His voice was gravel, roughened by restraint. “Every instinct I have tells me to claim you.
