Chapter Fourteen

Humihingal siyang napasandig sa pader habang hawak pa rin ang dib-dib. Her eyes were still in disbelief and her heart is beating faster against her chest. Kung dahil ba iyon sa ginawang pagtakbo o dahil sa gulat sa kanyang nakita.

She thought it at first as hallucination, but as he spoke, as she clearly heard his voice, not just once but twice, para siyang nakakita ng multo.

"So it's really is you..." Ulit nito as if he was also confirming that it was really her.

As much as her, she can see that he's also in disbelief. Halatang-halata iyon sa mukha nito.

She stand there looking at him in daze. Speechless and in widened eyes.

When she saw him slowly taking his step towards her, wala sa sarili siyang napa-atras. She swallowed hard as she continue her step. Marahan lang nong una, hanggang sa tuluyan na siyang tumalikod at mabilis na tinakbuhan ang pinto. With the shocked she felt, running away is all she wants to do.
