Chapter Seven: Well, Hello, Big Bro!

I couldn't believe my ears. What is it with those in my life who feel it is okay to say things that break my heart without remorse? First, the people I believed were my parents informed me that I had been "sold," and I was no longer regarded as family. Now, Luna's "fake" daughter, Kathy, is telling me I will never be a part of "her" family if she has anything to do with it. Uggh!!

I raised my arms between Kathy's and pushed outward, loosening her grip on me. I just wanted to get out of there, but it seemed that she wasn't so keen on that idea. I tried to twist myself away in a defensive move to distance myself from Kathy. The only thing on my mind was that I didn't want to get caught in her grasp again.
