LUCIAN

Blood filled my mouth. Thick. Metallic. My heart slammed against my ribs, threatening to burst. My lungs felt like they would explode at any moment. No. I couldn’t stop. Not now. Not yet. Rest was a luxury I couldn’t afford. I had to move. Faster. Faster.

A cliff rose before me, sudden and merciless, blocking my path. I stared into the bottomless abyss—black, endless, mocking. From the other side, a shadow tore through the magic circle, claws slashing, fangs bared, charging with murderous intent. Is this the end? I thought. How laughable my life would be.

Sterling stepped out from behind the shadow, grinning with feral malice. His hoarse, disgusting voice rasped: “Give up resisting! You might suffer less.”

I closed my eyes… No. Not yet. Not my time to die. My body moved before my mind. Years of candidate training, endless battles—they all coalesced in this instant. I saw my former self in the desert, ripping scraps of flesh from hyenas, feeling the hot, wet snap of necks under

  • Fated to My Brother in-law, The Lycan King   A targeted shot

LUCIAN He looked calm, not angry, and that scared me even more. The light Elf shrank back, shaking vigorously as it regarded Elias. Although Elias had killed the guard while he was on top of the Elf, there was no speck of blood on his body. A big difference to what that masked person did earlier.Elias' eyes flicked through my body, and then he came closer, inspecting the chains."It's silver.." I told him, He wrapped his hand around it and broke it easily without hurting himself or my wrists. He removed his shirt and threw it at me, "Let's go."He grabbed my hand.We were already out of the cell when I looked back at the weeping Elf, holding his gaze."You're free too." I told him.Elias pulled me away before I got a response. We'd barely gotten out of the cell when other prison guards and patrol guards pursued us."Stop!" Some of them yelled. We didn't stop. We were running. The sound of their feet against the ground as they ran after us in unison was almost deafening. “Whore

  • Fated to My Brother in-law, The Lycan King   Thrown in a cell

LUCIAN I was thrown into a cell roughly like I was a sack of grain, then my wrists and feet were chained with a silver metal that burned my skin. The cell was cold, wet, and dark. I sat on the floor after the guards left and drew my knees up to my chest. The cold seeped onto my tattered clothesIs this where I'd die? With no one ever finding out where I was.If by some luck, someone, -Elias maybe, finds out that Sterling led me into a trap and tracked our trail to the mountain, there was no way he'd know I am alive somewhere and in a dark cell. For all I know, he might think we fell off the cliff. My heart sank further. I'm going to have to rely on myself and my powers to get out of here. Which is why I need as much rest as I can get.The acrid smell of flesh burning reminded me that was going to take a while. The little strength I managed to conserve went into healing my wrists and ankles. The image of Sterling's body flashed in my head, his blood still stained my body.If some

LUCIAN I did a double take. My eyes traveled from the white hair to the dark skin and finally on the pointy ears, ‐their tell tale. As if living up to his identity, he wore a long black and silver coat with glowing runes and symbols. It really was a Dark Elf. The last time I saw them was in a textbook at the Temple. They were dangerous and should be avoided - that old man told me that much. The Dark Elf had an impatient look on, which made him scary with the scars running along his face. "Find out if he possesses the qualifications to become the Priest of those filthy nasty dogs." The Dark Elf ordered. A murmur of agreement rose up in the room.A storm raged within my heart. I took in my left, my spine turning cold as I realized they all had something in common. Pointy ears and flawless dark skin like a polished obsidian. They were all Dark Elves - every single one of them. They were watching me, like I was some kind of salvation or sacrificial lamb. And somehow, I w

LUCIAN I stared in horror as Sterling stared down at me with lust, his eyes roaming my body hungrily. I wanted to wipe that smug smile off his face, push him away, and keep as much distance as I could from him, but I couldn't.All I could do was stare. My limbs felt too heavy to lift.My eyes followed him as he squatted next to me and ripped my shirt away.My heart slammed against my chest in fear and anger as I lay helplessly in front of him.The idea of having him inside me repulsed me, sending a shudder down my body. "Don't you fucking dare!" I wanted to yell at him, - the words didn't make it past my lips.It felt like torture to even manage a sigh.I willed all the rage and anger I felt into my eyes, making a promise to him.If he touched me with those filthy hands of his, I'll kill him.He laughed instead, enjoying the look in my eyes. Fucking bastard. He brought his lips to my chest, kissing and licking my body.Moaning. My stomach churned in disgust. I tried again, but

  • Fated to My Brother in-law, The Lycan King   Lucian's memories

LUCIAN I’ve seen that magic circle before, and it’s etched in my memory forever. ******************************************************************************************************** If I was asked about my home, my pack, I'd say it was one of the most special packs to ever exist. Why? Because my pack housed the world's most sacred temple in werewolves' history. In fact, it was the heart of my pack. The Alpha's mansion was nothing compared to the Temple. The Temple of the Goddess, which was specifically dedicated to the Luna Goddess. The temple is the biggest building in my pack and has the most land square. It also had a silvery moon shaped stone that caught the sunlight during the day and moon at night, glinting like it was offering some sort of protection over the Temple. It also had bells all around the walls that chimed in a musical way whenever the wind touched it. When I think of home, I don’t think of the house we lived in. No, I think of the Tem
