Zoe's POV

Strength surged through my veins. Every sound, every scent, every sensation felt a thousand times stronger.

I looked around. The first rays of dawn lit up the compound. I heard a quick scuttling noise. My eyes snapped to the source. A cockroach moved across the far corner. I had never noticed such small details before.

A breeze blew through a broken window. It felt like it pierced my skin, sending a deep chill inside me.
