*ASA TRINE*

“This dinner is going to be so special!” Leia chimed from beside me as we stood in front of the Alpha and Luna’s personal house. Usually, the couple lived in the pack house as it was closer to work but they did have their own home and getting invited there was considered to be a lucky and golden opportunity.

Glancing at her I gave her an awkward smile trying not to let my discomfort show on my face.

What did Clay mean by his words before? Was he going to kill me or get me banished from the pack?

Maybe I should have told Cain about it…

‘Then why didn’t you?’ my unsettled wolf prattled the thought that she had been meaning to ask me for a while.

Sighing I looked at the pleasant white house that had lights brightly shining through the windows as a buzz of excitement could be heard in the murmurs brought by the lightly blowing wind.

‘I didn’t want to cause more of a wedge between the two brothers,’ I replied back as I now knew the truth about their strained relation. Having grown up with only my sister as my family, I was well aware of the importance of a sibling.

And although I had despised Clay for rejecting me, I was glad now for it led me to my current mate, Cain.

Clay might be the golden boy of the Pack but the real gold was hidden in Cain’s eyes and heart. They were the most honest and loving I had ever known to be.

Smiling at his remembrance I suddenly heard the door of the mansion click open and searching eyes fall on me at once. They lit up when he saw me looking back at him and sooner than later, I felt him touch the side of my face in greeting as he said, “You look beautiful.”

I didn’t even realize when but I had unconsciously found myself gravitate towards him as we met half way on the steps up to the entrance.

A cold drop of water that fell on my hand made a shiver run through me and broke me out of my trance of gazing at his hypnotic and lovable eyes.

“Did you just take a shower?” I asked touching the tips of his wet hair that had been messily pointing out in different directions. Stepping back to gaze at him I noticed that he had donned on a black button-down shirt and a pair of blue jeans but the buttons were all done in a rush as it left gaping holes in between.

“Didn’t you pay attention to how you were putting on your shirt before you came down?” I asked chuckling a little as I traced the snug material of the small clothed bunching as little valleys on his chest and looking down, I saw him mumbling out a curse as he just realized his state.

“I caught a smell of you as soon as I got out of the shower and I couldn’t stop myself from coming to greet you,” he honestly replied making me blush at his words and the happiness in his eyes. Was he that eager to see me again?

‘Weren’t you hurrying everyone up as well?’ Xara taunted me in my head and blushing inside while feeling my heart beat happily at our mutual feelings, I moved my fingers to help him put the buttons in place correctly.

“Little sister, I didn’t know you were so provocative as to undress him as soon as you saw him, can’t you wait for a little bit to at least get inside the house first?” Leia’s laughter rattled me through my core as flushing a scarlet I immediately pulled away my hands and turned around, suddenly reminded of her and Michael’s presence.

Although a Cheshire grin was plastered on my sister’s face Michael seemed to be eyeing Cain’s hands on my waist that I didn’t even realize had been holding me close to him.

He was making me lose consciousness of any actions and surroundings…

“I know that Leia must have had a word with you but please Cain, I hope that you will value Asa and treat her with all the best things in the world, she is like a sister to me,” Michael said, his gaze turning softer as he looked at me. I passed him a grateful smile and nodding at me he then cleared his throat and said, “That being said, can you not act so intimate in front of me? Please get a room, I need some time to get used to the thought of the two of you together.”

“Michael!” I cried out in embarrassment at the obvious hint in his voice of what he was giving us permission to do.

“I didn’t actually need your permission Beta Michael but since you have so generously put it in words for us, we shall meet you in time for dinner in about half an hour,” Cain smiled, a superiority reflecting in his voice as well as respect. It was a weird combination but I was thankful nonetheless for he didn’t act in a rude manner to him.

Michael was just as important to me as Leia.

Hoisting me up in his arms suddenly, making me squeal out in surprise I looked at my mate in wonderment as I whisper yelled at him, “What are you doing?”

“Taking you away from them,” he said tightening his hold around me as he bent to place a kiss on my forehead, “You don’t know how long I had been waiting for you to be back in my arms.”

It had not even been more than five hours!

“But this is so embarrassing,” I said as I looked over his shoulder at my sister and Michael to see one with a broad grin and the other with a shocked expression on his face.

Now they are definitely going to think that I am going to make out with Cain!

‘But aren’t we going to make out with him?’ my wolf asked sounding a little confused and looking away from the pair, I sighed as I told my wolf, ‘We might but they didn’t have to know that.’

“Please put me down, Cain, I will walk on my own,” I pleaded to him as I gazed at his face. He had a determined look etched on his handsome features as he had his face in an emotionless mask again. It sometimes made me confused of what he really was thinking but his honest words were a direct reflection of his soul.

He loves me just as much as I love him.

Looking down at me on listening to my words he brought down his warm eyes to rest on my lips that were formed in a pout at his stubborn hold and he took some time to think. Moving the golden orbs to my eyes after a few seconds his lips suddenly broke into a smile as he said, “No, I quite like this position.”

It is going to take me some time to unravel how this man thinks.

How could he say that to me so easily and unashamed?

“And I know you like it too; I can hear your heartbeat increase slowly and steadily.”

It was a myth when everyone thought that Cain Arius was socially awkward with his words. No! This man was a fucking genius in making people feel exactly how he wanted them to!

Under his gaze, his constant touches and his honest and unabashed words I could feel my body grow hotter and hotter. His arm that was touching my bare skin under the flailing material of my dress felt like it was scorching my skin there and same was the case with his hand under my neck, the tips of his fingers brushing my breasts.

Suddenly a low growl brought my attention back on him and looking at his face I saw that his eyes had turned darker as the golden was shaded over by hints of blackness bordering the circle.

“I can smell your arousal, my precious mate, did my touches make you wet?” he asked, sniffing the air slightly as he increased his pace that had been a slow walk before.

I whimpered and hid my face when I realized that I had made myself known and within a second, I found myself being thrown on a soft bed as a pair of familiar lips attacked me.

The kiss had immediately started off in a passionate and heated manner, forbidding my lungs of any air but that wasn’t my concern now. Even as my chest started feeling heavy my lips continued to work together to match the tempo of my mate, unable to stop myself from feeling the pleasurable electricity that flowed through every touch of his.

It was only when I had started turning light headed when he finally let me go and panting on top of me, he pressed his forehead against mine in an attempt to calm the both of us down. The room that I had been unable to even take a glance of was filled with sounds of our heavy pants and I felt my hands being tightly intertwined in his as he whispered to me, “Can we skip the dinner and continue with this at my place?”

My lips opened to reply with an affirmation when suddenly I heard my sister’s voice ring in my head, 'Finish up with whatever it is that you are doing, you have got twenty more minutes.'

That ruined my mood and even if I was still in a daze, I shook my head in negative, making him sigh.

How did I lose control of myself like this?

How was I turning so bold to even think about skipping a diner with the Alpha and Luna of our pack just so I could make out some more with him?

Groaning he rolled off me and laid on the bed as he said, “They are calling us down for dinner.”

So, he had been mind linked as well. I felt slightly embarrassed to know that the Alpha and Luna knew what I was doing in their home but if they had to blame anyone then it was their son who didn’t seem to care about time and place at all.

“You make me do things that I never thought I would,” I mumbled finally finding strength to sit up straighter and look around at a room that seemed to be a kid’s room. There were posters of cars and superheroes stuck on one wall and the other adjacent to the bed had many photo frames hanging on it.

It was Cain’s room when he was a child.

“Like what?” he asked breathily, his curiosity seeping through the heavy tone making me look at him and raising an eyebrow at him I shrugged and said, “This, I never imagine myself to be able to kiss someone with such animalistic intensity to the point that I was ready to forsake my breathing than to part with them.”

He chuckled at my words, his expressions becoming clearer when only the two of us were present and leaning forward he tucked a black tress of my hair behind my ear and then leaned down closer to it, “Don’t worry you can let go of any inhibitions when you are with me because I will look after you for the both of us.”

That made me blush and pecking his lips I said, “Thank you.”

Grunting Cain eyed my lips again as he said, “It’s dangerous to do that when I am already turned on.”

My eyes followed his own and landed on the slight bulge in his pant making my eyes widen and I swiftly got off his bed before he could pull me into another mind numbing make out session as I said, “I will go down now I think Leia is calling for me again. You can come down um, after um, you have taken care of it. Bye!”

Rushing out without another glance at him I slammed the door shut behind me hearing a light chuckle escape him and without another second I hurriedly moved down the corridor to the stairs, trying to navigate my way to the dining room.

That man was too bold.

I won’t put it past him if he decided to mate with me right here, right now.

Suddenly I felt a hand grab onto my arm and pull me in through a cracked door throwing me on a bed again as a second later I heard a click of door getting locked.

Uncaring of the throb in my head that had been caused by the edge of the headboard hitting me hard in the back of my head this time, I sat up and stared at devilish blue eyes.

“What are you doing Clay? And what is the meaning of this inappropriate gesture?” I shouted holding my head in my hand as I looked at the man who looked perfectly similar to my mate and yet didn’t have an ounce of personality as great as him.

‘But they still have a similar habit of throwing you on a bed,’ my wolf joked and ignoring her I ordered her to work on healing my head.

“Hello to you to Asa. I am just here to full fill my promise that I made to you,” he said as he took a step forward towards me. When my confused expression didn’t clear up, he said, “Why are you always this slow? If you had been smarter than I would have accepted you.”

As he said this, he started buttoning off his shirt that he had been wearing.

“W-What do you mean?” I asked trying to sit up straighter feeling a sudden emergence rise within me.

“Can’t you tell?” He asked buttoning out two more buttons of his maroon shirt to showcase his wide muscular chest.

My eyes must have looked panicked enough by now because a smile wormed its way on his face and tilting his face he said, “I am going to ruin you so that no other man would ever mate with you again.”

*ASA TRINE* “Come on, hurry up Devin, you can’t be this slow!” Leia scolded him and the sound of it came all the way up the stairs making me stifle a laugh. “You look beautiful, miss,” Ross said gaining my attention as he helped me with my skirt that had wrinkled below. “Oh no, Ross please don’t do that I don’t want you hurting your waist,” I said as I tried to stop him, but it was no use the old man had been so used to taking care that even after giving him retirement from all his work he would still find something to do. “Michael! That’s not right! The cake should be here!” she shouted again as I heard Michael shuffling around and again I tried to stop my laughter from filtering through at my sister's frustrated antics. “Its time to go down, Miss,” Ross said as he smiled at me and hooking my arm around his I took his help to carefully step down the steps as I saw Cain standing there at the end of it with little Kiara in his hands. She looked adorable in her frock that she had b

*ASA TRINE* “You called us, dad?” I asked peeping in. Nodding his head at me he motioned for us to sit down and filtering in I noticed that Luna had also been there looking through some books as she smiled at our presence. “I am sorry that I am late,” Clay’s voice filtered in but he stopped soon after when he saw the two of us already seated there, “I swear I haven’t done anything this time.” “We know that you haven’t done anything Clay, we are not here to complain about you,” Cain said huffing at his brother but a smile slipped on his face and I wondered if it would be right to separate these two brothers when their relations had only just started improving. “Well then what is this family reunion for?” he asked as he sat down on a chair beside Cain looking at his dad with a questioning look making Cain and I fix him with that same gaze. “Can’t I just miss my children?” Alpha asked as he looked at us and when we remained adamant in our gazes he laughed and said, “Fine you caught

*ASA TRINE* “No, wait, did you bring the bag of chips that I had kept on the table?” I asked stopping Cain as he looked at me and shaking his head in negative, he said, “Just give me a minute, I’ll be right back!” It had been two days since we had gotten back and thankfully the crowd had started straying away from us a slight bit for us to decide on going on a picnic today. Another thing that had been something really good was Cain’s carefreeness. He had been smiling more and he didn’t look like he had to be on his toes every moment of his life. I think a huge credit goes to Clay and I rejecting each other. This weird phenomenon had also seemingly improved his outlook of his brother as he didn’t seem to be worried about his presence around us anymore though it didn’t mean that he became any less possessive. Looking back at our home I waited for him to come back but it was taking him longer than I had thought, and I wondered if I had actually brought the chips with me. Looking

*ASA TRINE* “That’s enough Leia, please!” I begged as I tried to escape her aggressive hits that she had been raining down on me. After seeing me she had almost ran up to me and the first thing that she had done was to hit me with all the force and energy that she had in store. “Hey, that’s enough, please if not anything then think about the baby,” Michael tried to intervene and taking the opportunity I hid behind him feeling my head almost about to burst from the built up stress. I loved my sister and I knew that she wasn’t the cause of this but I was moments away from shouting at her. “She hadn’t been feeling well too Leia, please go easy on her,” Devin pleaded my case making Cain sit up straight as he looked at me and asked, “What? What happened to you?” I had wanted to speak to him the first thing when I saw him return but he had come back with the rest of the family and I couldn’t find a moment to take him away from them as the Luna showered him with love and Alpha pra

  • Fated to My Mate's Twin   Chapter 137: She didn’t go.

*ASA TRINE* Clay had disappeared away as mysteriously he had come and right now my brain had been combusting at the possibility of what was happening. Why did I feel those things that I would have only with a mate? What did it mean? “Asa? Are you alright?” Devin came in soon after Clay had dropped me off at the entrance of the pack house only to hide back into the crowds of people. Looking around for him I tried to see those same blue eyes that had once been the reason of my tears and later the cause of my determination to solve this mystery. I wonder what he must be thinking right now and whether he had been okay. ‘What is wrong with us Asa? I can feel a connection to Clay just as much as I can feel a connection to Cain but I feel as if my body is being torn apart in both directions,’ Xara panted in my head making me aware of my own body’s condition. Now that she said I had been feeling a slight pain in my chest since i got off the car and this must be the reason behind it. ‘Th

  • Fated to My Mate's Twin   Chapter 136: Sparks

*ASA TRINE* “Are you excited to go home?” Cain asked looking at me from where I had been sitting in the passenger seat of the car while Devin now occupied the back seat. “Did you even need to ask me that, of course I am!” I said looking at him to find that his eyes had been looking deeply relaxed as they flitted over my face. There seemed to still be some anxiety within him but he was assured now that he wasn’t going to lose me. But he wouldn’t let me away from his eyesight for more than two minutes. So maybe he wasn’t completely healed yet but at least he was on that path. “I am so glad that everything turned out as it did and that nothing happened to you,” Devin sighed from where he was sprawled on the back seat looking as if the life had been drained out of him. Right now he looked older than what he was and I gave him an apologetic smile. “Sorry that you had to manage and meet all the people who had wanted to meet me,” I said remembering the hordes of people who had been
