Kalani POV

After he leaves I go find Hannah and the rest of the day flies by with learning how to set broken bones and doing sutures.

By the time Hannah dismisses me, my shoulders ache and my stomach is growling. It feels good though. Every day I spend here I feel a little more confident that this is exactly what I want to do with my life.

When I leave I run back to the house to start my test.

I race up to my room and open my laptop to take the test.

An hour later I'm waiting for my results.

  • Fated to The Cursed Alpha Twins    Is She?

Vegas POVI walk out before I say something I might regret.Staying in that kitchen any longer wasn't going to help anyone. Every word out of Kalani's mouth made me want to pull her into my arms, and every instinct in me screamed to push her farther away instead.I walk out of the house and I head to the woods to pay a visit to the seer. The farther I get from the pack house, the quieter everything becomes. Normally the woods calm me. Today they don't. My head keeps replaying Jordan touching her face... then Kalani touching Virgo's.She touched him so easily. Like she wasn't afraid of him anymore. She hasn't looked at me like that once.I don’t knock when I enter and she jumps when I enter. The sharp intake of her breath catches my attention immediately. She covers whatever she was looking at and walks around the table. Not slowly either. Almost desperately.“Alpha what do I owe this unexpected visit?” she asks eyes flicking nervously. She’s never acted like this before. What is she h

  • Fated to The Cursed Alpha Twins    The Truth Between Us

Kalani POV I’m not really sure what Jordan was thinking coming here.Maybe he wasn't thinking at all. Maybe he just heard I was hurting and got in his truck. That sounds a lot more like Jordan than some elaborate plan.I have missed him but I haven’t thought about him romantically since that first year he was gone. Some people become part of your history without staying part of your future. That's what Jordan became to me.Virgo walks into the kitchen and notices Vegas sitting at the island across from me.“What are you doing here?” he asks him taking the seat next to him.“I live here Virgo” he replies.A small smirk crosses my face before I school it.“Yeah but what are you doing here in the kitchen with her?” he asks pointing his chin in my direction.Virgo's eyes flick between the two of us. It doesn't take a genius to see whatever happened before he walked in wasn't exactly friendly.“She had a visitor” Vegas says voice tight.“Who?” he asks eyes locking on me.“Her ex” he says

  • Fated to The Cursed Alpha Twins    The One Who Waited

Kalani POVFive minutes later, Tati and I are standing outside the house as Jordan’s car pulls up.The second I see his beat-up truck turn the corner, I know it's him before I even make out his face. Some people just have a way of showing up exactly the same no matter how much time passes. The moment he steps out, we both run over to him.Tati jumps into his arms first.“Hey, little sis, I missed your mischievous self,” he says, and she slaps his arm.“Mom said you weren’t coming back until next month,” she says.He smiles at her, but his eyes find me.“I was, but then Adonis called me and told me about Kalani, and here I am,” he says. That makes my heart stop. The thing about Jordan is... he never stopped loving me. I’ve known since we were pups, and before he left for school, we dated and were sure we were each other’s mates.Back then, forever seemed simple. We were kids making promises under the stars, convinced the Moon Goddess had already written our story. Life had other plans.

I keep glancing at the screen every few seconds like staring at it harder will make my grade appear faster.I make my way downstairs to see what I will be cooking and I find Heather in the kitchen restocking.“Hey Heather I didn’t hear you come in” I say.She smiles.“Hey Kalani, I actually just got in, I came in through the back door” she says.“Everything okay?” she asks.“Yeah just came to start making dinner, but I can wait until you are done.

  • Fated to The Cursed Alpha Twins    A Different Kind Of Peace

Kalani POV I eventually get my shit together and make my way to the pack hospital. The walk over gives me too much time to think. Every few steps my mind drifts back to Vegas, then to Virgo, then right back to Vegas again. By the time the hospital comes into view I am mentally exhausted, but at least work will give me something else to focus on. The moment I walk in the receptionist at the front greets me. “Good morning Luna” she says. I wish they would just call me Kalani. I already gave them all permission. “You are their Luna whether you acknowledge the role or not” Astra says. “Still don’t like it” I reply. Especially when I still don't feel like I belong in that role. “Good morning Clara, how are you today?” I ask leaning on the desk. “I’m good Luna, are you?” she asks eyes darting to the bruise around my neck. Fuck I forgot to cover it before coming here. I smile brightly. “I’m fine, I should go find Hannah. We will talk about that party later” I say win

  • Fated to The Cursed Alpha Twins    The Cost Of Control

Vegas POVI stand there watching her walk away. She never looks back. Not once.“Why would you lie to her?” Echo roars at me.“this is how it has to be” I retort. He growls before blocking me out.The silence he leaves behind is almost worse. Echo never blocks me out unless he's truly angry and lately that's happening more often than I'd like to admit. What happened last night with Virgo is exactly why she needs to think that kiss was a mistake.I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it truthfully.I couldn’t sleep thinking about how easily she gave into it.How easily I gave into it.One second she was pulling me back onto the couch and the next I couldn't remember why I thought staying away from her was supposed to be easy.I still remember the look on her face when she kissed me. There was no fear. No hesitation, just trust.Trust that I didn't deserve.I didn’t realize how much I actually wanted her.I was drunk when I walked through that door but completely sober when I saw h

  • Fated to The Cursed Alpha Twins    If She Survives Us

Virgo POVI learned way before Thea that if you’re not in control that’s when people die. Not maybe. Not sometimes. Every single time. This curse is all about losing control and I learned to never give Echo too much control. Conditioning him to know I’m in control saved me from a lot of shit after

  • Fated to The Cursed Alpha Twins    The Curse Didn’t End With Her

Virgo POVThe smell of blood burns my nose, the scent so thick I can taste the metallic bitterness on my tongue every time I breathe. It clings to the back of my throat, heavy and suffocating, like the air itself is coated in it.“Virgo please it’s not too late to stop,” she cries weakly beneath m

  • Fated to The Cursed Alpha Twins    Too Afraid To Love Me

Kalani POV After he gets dressed I start walking again. “Okay what do you want Vegas?” I ask looking at him. The walk back toward the pack house is quiet except for the sound of our footsteps. A few warriors we pass immediately look away when they see us together and I know the entire pack is pr

  • Fated to The Cursed Alpha Twins    Not Again

Virgo POVI hate that no matter how many years have passed, no matter what we did to make up for it. When people see us they see me killing Thea, they see death. It doesn't matter how many wolves we protect. It doesn't matter how many years go by without another incident. The second people hear our
